October Wave 1: 1/35th Panther parts
Added 2023-10-08 19:11:47 +0000 UTCRelease day is Monday 9th. +- 10pm GMT+1.

Engine Deck parts for Panther Ausf. D Jan / Feb '43 production.
These parts allow you to build very early Panther Ausf. D. I have included:
- Initial Radiator Covers left and right; Based on 3d scans taken from Breda's Panther Ausf. D. The first batches of Panthers had no grills on those.
- Initial Air Intake cover with grills. The louvers on these were straight like Panther prototype V1 and V2 had them. It's debateable but I'd use these for January production 1st batch Panthers. Version without grill is included too.
- Standard Air Intake Cover. With and without grills. 3d scanned accuracy.
- Schnorchel Flange without grill. The first Panthers had the Schnorchel port shut. Important detail for your Jan/Feb. Panther.
- Early Air Intake Cover for the engine hatch. The first 250 Panthers were build with the weaker HL 210 engine, as far I can tell those covers went together with it.
- True-scale lifiting hooks for engine deck. These are universal.
- True-scale hatch stop. It is universal as well.
All files are pre-supported via a Lychee Secene file. You can easily costumize it to fit your needs without having to start from skratch. Blank files are included as well.

Initial style running grear
In the early days of the Panther the running gear was a mess! There were lots of differnt bolt patterns on both wheels and drive sprocket. On top some bolts used retainers some didn't...
With this release I deal with the first iteration of series production vehicles: 16 bolts, no retainers for the road wheels and 16 bolts for the drive sprocket, no retainers. In the next wave I'll include more variants with different retainer arragements.

A Lychee slicer scene file is included.

Last but not least I've included a re-issue of my scan based early Panther tracks with initial pins.

Compatibility?
I used for my builds Meng's Panther D. It is together with Tamiya and Zvezda the only kits allowing for an early production vehicles. The designs are as close to true scale as possible with current mid-tier printing tech and will fit with minimal work..
You can easly fit the parts to other brands as well. If there is a need for another brand, I'll include them in the next wave.
Next wave?
For October and November's projects a lot of parts are needed. I won't manage to put them out in one big release.
Further I want to build along designing the parts needed.

The next wave is scheduled towards end of October. I keep you posted on the progress via facebook and instagram.
I hope this first wave does already meet your expectations,
Thank you very much!
Kai

Mostly to training and R&D. They were not suited for combat due to major problems. They were later put through remedy program where the problems were fixed in post in order to not interrupt series production output. Some of them could have been issued to Abt 51/52 fighting at kursk, but I'm not yet sure on that part.
