When I was a young man, I had the opportunity to go kayaking off of the coast of Puerto Rico. I was able to come face to face with the stunning seascape that was painted by the bioluminescent algae that was in the waters. It was genuinely beautiful, if you ever have the opportunity, I highly encourage you to see it for yourself.
This particular image was tricky because paint tool SAI doesn't really have a "twinkle" brush. So all of the stars I did mostly by hand. And the patterns and effects on the water I did by hand as well. I was able to squeze in some dithering if you look hard enough, but I could only use it for filler. The brush doesn't lend itself well to these kind of skewed perspectives. It was a bit of a struggle trying to figure out how to make it work, but I think the effort was worth it. I learned a lot with this one.

A few extra characters on this particular image. Look like Amara and Lucas ran into some old friends during their journey and set up camp for the night. They'll part ways in the morning, I'm sure. But it's nice to unwind and enjoy the night for now.
