RIGHT??? I just commented that on the last episode! Ridiculous how he came up with that.

Dude. I've never seen anyone figure out that twist so early on. In fact, most people don't even think about it until the face reveal. And it wasn't a shot in the dark either. You put the clues together, even though they were kind of vague and fleeting. I know, I'm super late commenting but I'm only just now watching these because I only just now got around to joining (hello!). I started watching your season 1 on YouTube many months ago, but I had stopped at episode 2/3 because I wanted to wait until you finished the series so I could binge them. 😁

Wow, this was great! It's amazing how quickly Taco figured out another key point here.
I wonder now, if Gemma isn't really dead, how come she only exist in Lumon? And if she is indeed dead, how can her other self survive there?
Mrs. Casey seems strange to me, almost like a robot. Is she perhaps a kind of copy of the real Gemma? (If anyone knows, please don't tell. I haven't seen the other episodes yet and just want to sort out my thoughts.) ❤
a friend of mine thinks that Burt and Irving have a relationship outside Lumon and that this is the reason why they got affected to each other so fast. I'm already looking forward to watching the next episodes.🤗

They told us, severance is forever, so Burt REALLY IS dying, because he will be erased completely. 😢

In the beginning they seemed to be Strangers, forced to work together, now they are really one team. Love this.

I absolutely appreciate your reactions. You pick up on so much. Hannibal's minor facial expressions just pulls you into the character so much more. You love and hate him. Will is so much stronger and sassier in this season. The chess is I on!

When you called Ms. Casey being Gemma back in the earlier episodes I was like
👀 👀 👀
Love seeing you get the payoff of being right.
Ep 7 is so good. John Turturro’s delivery of his Irving lines in this episode are my favorites.
Looking forward to the rest!

Hello, I am new to your Patreon. I just wanted to let you know that your posts on YouTube have borne fruit. I stumbled across you on that platform, got hooked on your Interview with the Vampire and Hannibal reactions, craved more, and here I am. I love your reviews, the effort you put into them, and the way you think. I am struggling holding off on watching the first episode of Season 2 of Severance, because I am anxious to hear what you think of the remaining episodes before I dive in. However, I might cave.

You’re literally the only reactor I’ve ever watched call the Ms. Casey/Gemma thing at all, let alone in the first few episodes.

You were right!! And finally I can tell you how impressed I was when you figured the Gemma situation out so quickly. Such a great couple of episodes, I love the team pulling together, and Dylan waking up at home is such a gut punch.

Episode 7 is def my favorite of S1. It has some of the best moments and my favorite moment of all: "You smug mother fucker" -- I could listen to John Turturro deliver that line over and over. Plus the Dylan reveal, the Gemma reveal, the Music Dance Experience (Milchick can move!).
As for Burt, my interpretation isn't that he chose to retire and didn't tell Irving. I believe they're letting him go to sever (ha!) the bond between him and Irving and to put a stop to the interdepartmental communication. That song they play for the retirement is absolute perfection and gets me every single time. For Irving, it IS like Burt is dying. And outie Burt's words on the tape hit it home that Burt will never even know Irving existed let alone that they were falling in love.
I find it so fitting that it's LOVE that motivates each of them to rebel. Helly's love of independence and freedom; Dylan realizing he has a son who loves him; Mark finding out about Gemma (and starting to have feelings for Helly); and Irving's love for Burt.
(Thanks for the shout out!)
