The reason the Uruks and orcs were bickering amongst each other about Merry and Pippin is more clear in the books. They were sepereate forces joined together as you can see in the beginning of the movie when they feed merry the enchanted draught. The uruks came from Isengard and were instructed by Saruman to bring the hobbits directly to him, since Saurmans real plan was to take the one ring for himself, and after failing to obtain it he even tries to create his own ring. The orcs came from Mordor and were under the command of Sauron. They were trying to take the hobbits to Mordor. The whole combined force were actually leaving a trail of dead bodies behind (mostly mordor orcs) for the trio to follow.

You can leave your recording software up on the second screen so you don't have to keep minimizing the videos.

As you said, in the final minutes of this upload, it’s not three movies to compare; it’s one giant story that needed to be broken up. Everything flows into everything else because, wildly enough, the events of this trilogy are set within an enormous, essentially, world history of a world that doesn’t exist.
