They seemed to give up on Chelsea. It is very difficult and sometimes impossible to live with someone with a mental illness, which she obviously had. She turned down all offers of help and in the state I live in you can't force someone to get help. Maybe they just had to give up to get going with their own lives and the other kids in the family.

What i have found weird about this case is that the family has moved on and don’t seem to be that bothered. Maybe Chelsea was a burden I don’t know. They sold the car to the tow yard in Arizona and the family is not advocating for her like you see in other missing people cases. I find that sad.

Hey Amanda, pretty much all those videos I filmed last year have now been released. This year I don't have any plans to do the same month-long trip that I did last year, but I will be doing some on-location filming this summer. I also plan on doing some short, local trips to cover cases close to me. The next video, which will be coming out very soon, is one like that.

The Missing Enigma

Hi Nick!! Such a great video, as always. Just wondering if you have plans for any videos coming soon? When you posted a while back about the videos you had filmed while traveling it was fun to have stuff to look forward to. No need to rush, quality over quantity. Im just nosey and excited 😆 Wish you the best and thank you again for all your hard work!! I try to donate more when I can afford it because your content is incredible. Hope you’re doing well & im looking forward to all your future videos 😊

There was no follow-up in the reports. I'm assuming that there was nobody who could reliably identify the clothing as belonging to Chelsea. DNA would be another matter altogether but there is no indication that any testing was done. Sometimes little things like this just seem to fall through the cracks. Another example - there was no follow-up as to whether the debit card used at Dos Pink Tacos matched up to Chelsea's debit card. Her cards weren't found on scene but authorities should have been able to get the number (or at least the last four digits) from her bank. This was seemingly never done.

The Missing Enigma

Strange that the clothes were never identified as hers or any DNA evidence. Were they ruled out at some point?

I'm familiar with the Phoenix Lights, but I've never heard of the disappearances. I'll do a little digging on that.

The Missing Enigma

That's exactly what it sounds like to me. Long, solo road trips are fairly common here. I've done them, sometimes even on a whim. Yes, it's true. We Americans are nuts.

Thanks, Nick! Another rock solid piece. Your work keeps getting better. Chelsea reminds me of some people I've known over the years, who could put on a convincing show of being ordinary, well balanced people when in reality they were very much on the edge and not reliably capable of rational behavior. A very sad case. Have you looked at the disappearance of four men on the night of the Phoenix lights events? As far as I can tell, no trace of Mitch Adams, Ryan Stone, Glenn Lauder and Jacob Reynolds has ever been found. Whatever one thinks of the Phoenix lights, it's an interesting case with little available online, other than the irresponsible and sensationalized fictional movie that used their names and basic facts to spin a horror story for profit. Those guys could use a Missing Enigma investigation to get the real facts (whatever they are) out in the open. Weird situation, for sure.

Another great video to brighten up my day — thank you! She was definitely struggling with mental health issues. Hearing that someone was willing to undertake a solo road trip of over 40 hours is already mind-blowing — but I'm from Germany, so maybe that's just my European mindset speaking lol. Then, to abruptly cancel her plans and decide not to attend the wedding — it all sounds quite erratic. To me, it seems like a case of bipolar behavior: committing to the trip during a manic phase and then suddenly changing course. Her continuous use of marijuana likely contributed to her disappearance as well. The whole situation sounds like a drug-induced psychosis, leading her to wander off into the wilderness where she ultimately perished. So tragic.

There was never any confirmation as far as I can tell. All we have is some evidence that they "might" have been Chelsea's. The clothes were her size, they were put there very recently, and the car tracks in the area were similar to her EcoSport. We also know that her vehicle had some scratches and body damage so she must have gone down a road like the one where the clothes were found (technically it wasn't a road but more of a rocky drainage).

The Missing Enigma

Thanks Nick, this one is interesting. Did I miss it? What came of the clothes in the tree?

Third watching, and Chelsea is so reminiscent of Bryce Laspisa. I'm sure that many of the people who interacted with her had suspicions, but like Lorna said, no one wants a kidnapping conviction. Picked up key moment at 1:05: Parents rarely know the interests or capabilities of their adult children. The Charles McCullar case is another example of parental beliefs not aligning with reality. Nick, thank you for handling this with care and also for not glossing over the drug use and mental illness.

Daniel Hilgenberg

Like Gabby Petito Chelsea was within reach of safety of law enforcement then disappeared 🥴

Lorna Dryden

Excellent video. I agree that she is very likely still out there in the national forest. No one tracked the Hindu male who was allegedly with her, if he existed at all. A sad story. My prayers that she is found and her family gets some answers.

Ed Clinton

Part of me wonders if the hunters that kept going back to her vehicle had something to do with her disappearance but if so they probably wouldn’t have been so forthcoming with all the information they gave
