Well That's Taught Me A Lesson!
Added 2022-11-11 00:04:25 +0000 UTCI've had an absolute disaster this week almost finished the edit for the chainsaw restoration, turn on my editing PC and the hard drive has decided to self destruct taking with it all of the editing and lots of footage from the chainsaw restoration and the beginnings of the Ducati and Subaru videos along with everything else that was on the hard drive 🤬😭. Luckily I have some footage of the restoration backed up on my external drive and I'm just praying the PC repair shop can salvage something from the drive and allow me to cobble together a halfway decent video as the saw turned out beautifully and I want to share it with you all🙏 . So anyway that was it and I just wanted to keep you in the loop and let you know that there's been a disaster and that's why I'm so behind .... yet again 😞 So anyway stay safe Guys and if you need me I'll be hiding in the corner of the workshop crying for a bit haha.

Always. ALWAYS have 2 backups. Consider getting yourself a NAS, running RAID5/SHR with at least one redundant drive, over at least 1GBe to your editing machine - and keep all data on there. Then, take a weekly backup on a USB drive and keep it elsewhere in the building or at home Source: IT professional with 20 years experience in datacentre operations and data security.
