J = Made in Japan K = Made everywhere else (Indonesia Singapore South Korea or Malaysia usually).

Seiko does have 2 item numbers. One for the Japan market and then everyone else. I’m looking at buying the MM300. One watch in Japan has a different model number versus the ones I can find here in the states
