Some changes.
Added 2017-08-02 16:37:53 +0000 UTCNow that we are in the new game completely, the topic of increasing the price of becoming my patron and staggering releases has returned.
After discussing it with those of you that messaged me, commented on the posts, my partner and a few other creators from patreon, I decided I should change a little.
For the last few months I tested the "pay-up front" option of patreon after noticing a lot of people cancel their patronage before the billing period starts. I will be leaving this on. This doesn't affect current patrons at all.
Now the staggering. A lot of people I have spoken to has agreed that this is "the way of patreon", or "the only way to make money here". However, I feel like I shouldn't punish some patrons over others, so I will be adopting a middle ground alternative. I will stagger my public releases for 1 week only, but every patron will get it at the same time. The lowest tier will unlock everything I have to offer, and the higher tiers will work still as tipping jars if you really like my games. This is a temporary measure until I can buy a new computer that can help me make even better games.
Finally, I will be unpublishing the 1 dollar tier, leaving the lowest possible tier for new patrons to be the 2 dollars one. This is due to the cost of processing increasing depending on the distribution of patrons. However, I feel that I shouldn't punish those of you who have put their trust in me since I started, so those of you already on the 1 dollar tier will be able to stay in it without any change at all. You will all receive the same benefit of being a patron (ie. Same time release, walkthroughs and preview tuesdays) without losing anything. This means only new patrons will be affected by this.
I think this is fair, or at the very least acceptable, but I will be implementing these changes on the 5th of this month. This is to allow those of you who disagree with them enough time to decide if you want to continue supporting me. To those of you who decide to stop being my patrons, know that I am thankful from the bottom of my heart for your support until now, and that I will continue trying to make good, enjoyable games, so please continue checking them out and commenting in my posts shall you wish to. These will remain public for everyone. To those of you who stay, and those of you who join in from now on: Thank you for the trust in me, let's make great games we all can enjoy!

I didn't get a chance to vote on the next game before the poll closed and not a fan of the zombie track but I really enjoy your writing so I'm more than happy to let you run with it to see what develops. As another one dollar supporter who tries to spread the wealth broadly I appreciate you continuing to allow us to support you at that level.
