Recording session - Feb 13, 2019
Added 2019-02-14 01:18:19 +0000 UTCHere's a bit of exclusive video from a very productive recording session at Beebe Gunn Studio today, starting work on a new album! We got basic tracks down on four songs… that means just guitar, bass, and drums, as Wes will be overdubbing his parts later.
Songs we tracked at this session:
1) Moonshiner — a traditional song, heavily re-written,
2) Second Worst Girlfriend — a Blaggards original,
3) An untitled Blaggards original — a really fast, intense rocker currently referred to us as 'Motorhead' that doesn't have lyrics yet, and
4) a new arrangement of the traditional song Wild Rover — completely different from the earlier version we released on Live in Texas.
In this video, you hear (in this order):
1) Mike warming up with a section of "Moonshiner" on his own,
2) a split second of Moonshiner playback,
3) playback of Second Worst Girlfriend with a guide vocal, and
4) a playback of Wild Rover with a guide vocal.
