Some of you know that I've been working on a sequel for Where Thoughts Go for a few weeks - well, last week I was at the Cannes Film Festival and had an epiphany. It was another idea for a WTG sequel, but much simpler, elegant, emotionally powerful & easier to make than my previous concept.
I then learned that the deadline for the Venice Film Festival was on May 31st, 2019. I decided to take this as a challenge. Yesterday I convinced myself I could build a good, full-fledged protoype of this title in 10 days to submit it for the Venice Film Festival. And off we go!
Yesterday I got an artist on board to help me out and since then I've been coding, iterating and designing like crazy. Because I only have 10 days, the entire story will be set in a single environment, but that space will be changing significantly throughout the story through changes in lighting & mood.
The video above shows a tool I built today that lets me preview these different moods quickly.
Will I make it? I'm honestly not sure! More updates coming soon :p
