And Magpie luuuuuuurves her because she plays with him all the time. I suspect she might try to steal him when she leaves. Given that he was just chewing on the brand-new lamp I got from Ikea (after he broke the last lamp), I might let her.
I have to apologize for not posting a mid-month vignette. I am super-deep in Deadline Hell, and basically spending every waking moment (that isn't spent on prying Magpie off of my things) writing on the untitled cities novel which is due at the end of this month, or doing promo for HOW LONG 'TIL BLACK FUTURE MONTH, which comes out at the end of this month. Speaking of which -- $50-and-up contributors, please make sure your mailing addresses are correct in the Patreon system! You'll get one of my author copies as soon as I receive them.
I can't promise that I'll get a vignette up for November, either; right now all things have become novel. -_- But hopefully I'll finish it before the end of the month, and have a little breathing room soon. Deadline Hell is the worst.
