Hello!

When you share specific Braytech URLs in specific apps (Discord, Twitter, Messenger, etc.) a dynamic image based on that URL may be generated to give a preview of the link! i.e. https://bray.tech/inspect/item/1849149215

When I built https://bray.tech/legend, it was entirely with the intention of being able to then eventually add a share image. Examples include; first image bottom right, second image

So what I'm here to do is ask you what you'd really want to see. Generating images using Canvas is a laborious and manual task - literally nudging things around pixel by pixel and other crap 🫑 ... but I love the results so muchhhhh

I haven't programmed an example of everything featured on Braytech's Legend view because it takes a lot of time when I'm not yet sure what design I want to commit to so before I go further I wanted to ask for wider input!

Some things require more effort than others, such as loading and caching all item icons so I can read them in and write them to a new image and other things I want to avoid entirely - anything that depends on loading more data than a player's profile. The Destiny API player profile response is half a megabyte, GZIPd!

Originally, I wanted to do a black text on white background thing like this

But in earlier versions I was featuring emblem icons - many emblem icons are white with a transparent background hehe so that didn't work but if I don't go back to them then maybe I could still go white... I know, you all hate light mode, white anything, whatever

Anyway, examples of ideas include;

https://github.com/vercel/satori What about this one? I had some fun using this, css support might not be 100% there but better have something to stack on IMO

Dark for me, less because I hate light mode and more because it's painful to switch my focus between my monitors when one is dark and one is bright
