Up to this point, basically all of our series have featured one or both of us taking a look at something with fresh eyes, but here we wanted to take a look at something we both felt was sacred, and because of the established ties to our main series Discuss All Monsters, we felt that Neon Genesis Evangelion was a perfect fit.
We invite you all to join us here as we take a fresh, more adult look at a series that moved us when we were younger. As this is the first part, we only cover the first six episodes of the series as they comprise the first arc of the show, the next two parts will focus on a larger number of episodes. We get into our thoughts on the show's iconic opening, it's visual style as a whole, our impressions of all the key characters, the numerous tokusatsu references and more. We hope you enjoy!
