Poll: Web Site (Authentication Preference)
Added 2021-11-23 02:09:31 +0000 UTCI am planning to put together a web site to host HD content and a streaming server to do my own direct streaming. If I do this, I would like to have followers log in so they can comment, etc.
If I accomplish this and you are interested, which would be your preferred way to log in? I'm asking because I don't know what's popular in the community and I will want to scope the work out.
I plan to offer the username/password option (with persistent login and have email-based password reset), but I would also build out the others if there is some interest. I could optionally send notifications of new content by email.
Which would be your preferred way to log in?

That is my suspicion also, since I keep things separated too, and I have a separate Google account. That led to me doing the poll. Thank you for the feedback, awesome!

2021-11-24 19:43:45 +0000 UTCI think Google will be the most helpful, secondary option. Myself included, not everyone has this interest connected to their normal life. So login through a social media might not be as common as just a second gmail to use for accounts.
