Although many volcanoes around the world have confirmed eruptions (as either observed or dated via radiometric dating and other methods), a surprisingly high number of volcanoes fall under the category of “presumed active, but with no known Holocene eruption although one is suspected.” The Clear Lake volcano in California was one such volcano. However, due to recently presented evidence, this is no longer the case. The Clear Lake volcano produced an eruption in the Holocene which was dated! This will be discussed along with other revelations in Saturday’s video. And of course, the Clear Lake volcano is not showing any unusual signs of activity.

Not spectacular like Mt Shasta or Long Valley Caldera but if you're on the shore of Clear Lake and catch Mt Konocti during sunset it's a very nice view.
