I have to put the Cyberpink: Tactics development on pause for some months. I might still work on a few things here and there, but nothing consistent.
The change is because my main job situation changed. In short I have to spend more hours with the regular job and would have less hours for this game.
I recommend you stop your Patreon support for now as there won't be any meaningful updates for a while. I won't close the page though and if someone really wants to keep the subscription up, I won't stop them. I assume I can get back to the development after some time, but I can't promise that.
It's been almost 3 years since I started the development. Quite a lot has changed since then. I've learned a lot about development, 3D modeling, animating, game design, planning and marketing. Even if this game has basically made no money, it has still been a great learning experience for me.
The biggest mistake with the development has probably been the lack of focus. I started off with a clear goal, but it kept shifting around. Partly for a good reason, I wanted to learn certain elements, for example cutscenes. That ended up cutting into the progress of the game way heavier than I thought it would.
For now I'm putting the message out that the development is paused. This way people don't get false hopes. I'm also planning on making all the versions of the game free. No point in gating them behind a paywall. I don't think I'd start asking for money again until I have something really good.
I'll still be around, regularly checking my accounts, so if you want to get in touch, that's still possible.
