Added 2022-06-04 12:42:20 +0000 UTCI kept continuing work on the same things as the previous month. Demon girl character and project cleanup.
I started by properly texturing the character's clothing too. Then did some improvements on the skin texture to give it some more depth. I created some basic animations, idle, walk and spawning. Animating itself went fairly fast, but it took more time to figure out what kind of a spawn I want to create. It's a more supernatural one. Then particle effects took some more experimenting, but I think it came out cool. A different question is, how well it will look in game.
There seems to be still quite a lot of work left on restructuring the project. That's in two parts actually. One aspect is the gameplay side, which I want to change around. I made a questioner form for that. 10 people have replied to it this far, which is not much, but still gives me a feel of what is the most important. Everyone is hoping for character progression.
Second aspect of the restructuring is more about development and marketing speed. I want the project to load up fast. Be easy to navigate and find files at. Easy to throw different parts together for a nice render without things starting to break. I also want to further improve the gallery view, so people can record their own clips if they wish.
I worked outside of the project itself too. Trying to setup a subreddit for the game. Start to better organize my tasks and overall lots of thinking and considering about different marketing approaches. Not much to say here as everything on that side is still raw.
