Next Ex&F video - Yellow?

Hello all! I've had a bit of a break from making Ex&F videos recently, and have instead focused on Extraction&Ire videos, which have been a lot of fun. Its been great to wrap up the cubane series and also do some individual one-off inorganic videos- and feedback seems to be that people really like those longer inorganic videos, so I'll definitely keep making them (I'd probably make them even if people hated them, it's nice to have a cool, defined project!).

Anyway, remember the channel with 400k subscribers? The one that this Patreon is connected to? No worries if you forgot. But I should get videos happening for that. I've settled on an idea for the next video, as I was reminded the other day by a post to the subreddit a few days ago. Yellow powder! An explosion after a suspenseful delay. I made a video about it back in maybe 2015, and re-uploaded it back in 2017 (here it is, unlisted). It would be great to revist this, and really go deep into it. Change some variables, find out what makes it work! And just generally have a lot of explosions!

Also-- In the final cubane video I mentioned having some XeF2 which I planned to use to make perbromate (BrO4-) with. This is a very obscure oxidiser, that isn't anything particularly special, apart from the lengths you have to go to make it. Well, a researcher got in contact and said they had a spare sample of sodium perbromate, and could donate some! Made via the oxidation of bromate with Fluorine gas. This chemical you simply cannot buy is in the mail to me now, and it means we can definitely make a perbromate video- even if the XeF2 synthesis does not go well.... should be a lot of fun regardless, some fires and some xenon chemistry (and some generated HF we have to contend with). So that will also be worked on while I do the Yellow Powder stuff, and we shall see what video ends up coming out first.
