Space Engineers Event - Flagship Battle Event

Hey all!

I and the Discord Moderation team have this brand new Supporter Exclusive event coming later this evening. A lot of work has gone into this one and I really think it's going to be fun to battle it out with these giant flagships!

The Plan:

This is a priority MCRN request we have lost contact with the flagship of the Exploratory Fleet, the MCRN Lapithes. The Lapithes was on a mission towards the edge of the system to inspect a newly discovered planet. The Lapithes was accompanied by an escort fleet of corvettes and patrol destroyers.

It is suspected that the Lapithes and its escorts have gone rogue, all ships went dark at the same time. Intelligence believes they intend to harvest the resources on this new planet before turning back towards the system to conduct a search for the Protomolecule. The MCRN is calling on all ship captains in the system to intercept the Lapithes and its escorts before this can happen. 

The Lapithes and it's escorting represent the latest and greatest of Martian Naval Technology. They are designed to be able to survive for years by themselves. The Laptihes has extensive production capabilities, there is a high chance the ships have been upgraded by these rogue elements.

We have lost contact with our reconnaissance ship. We expect that it has been destroyed, it's last known coordinates are:

We urge any ship captain's who are going to take down the Lapithes make their way there to find out what has happened to the recon ship. If you find any wreckage we recommend exploring it for any information it may contain. The MCRN still retains the rights to the recon ship and any unauthorized acts of salvage on our property will result in legal action. You are permitted to explore it and investigate any information the ship was able to gather before its destruction. We expect this area to be free of hostile ships by the time you get there. 

Make your way to these coordinates as soon as you can you have a long journey ahead of you for this event, but it is going to be worth it. You'll have about 2100 km to jump on the day of the event after reaching this waypoint, it is recommended that your ship can make this distance in one jump.  

Due to the large amount of distance between this event and the rest of the system, we will help with transporting you back to your bases after the event has concluded
