Severance - Ep.2X8 "Sweet Vitriol" UNCUT & UNCENSORED

FYI THIS EPISODE IS NOT ACTUALLY 3 HOURS LONG!!! FOR SOME REASON, THE EDIT I RENDERED INCLUDED 1.5 HOURS OF NOTHING LOL

This may be the shortest episode so far this season, but it's no less eventful in it's own right. We finally touch base with Cobel as we head to "Salt's Neck" to dig up the past.

Are you looking for character developement? World building? Lore expansion? A nauseating amount of "theory crafting"?? Well then, you've come to the right place child. Come, pledge your forgiveness and Kier will forgive you and take you back with welcoming, open arms <3

Harmony Cobel demands from severed employees, fealty to Kier, NOT to Lumon. Her mind is severed into Lumon and Kier. She is also lonely and horny. That's why she is so unpredictable. She's an effing mess.

I'm creeped out that Harmony has the breathing tube. She wasn't present at her mother's death; Sissy described it to her. What did that awful woman do--just mail it to Harmony or something??

Tess Avelland

Orpheus doesn't die trying to save Eurydice. He almost succeeds, but looks back and loses her to the underworld. If the show mirrors the myth, it's Gemma who will die. (Orpheus did die later, wandering and playing mournful songs until a group of maenads tore him apart for not worshiping Dionysos.)

I did like this episode, but I would much rather have seen flashbacks of young Harmony at school interspersed with the Salt's Neck visit, culminating in the reveal that she invented severance. I've wanted to know Cobel's backstory since I watched the very first episode. It would have been so fascinating to *see* it instead of just hearing about it.

i just wanna 1st say this is not for me to reply to but 1. this isnt youtube and my point with that is that u paid to see him do that lol and 2. if youve seen his youtbe then you KNOW he does that so complaining about it now doesnt make sense in my opinion. Also, its not like hes never warned his viewers that he does it.

A lot of people didn't like this episode but yet were curious about what Cobels problem has been the whole time, here it is!! Like i dont get how now people are like the episode was unnecessary. Also, im TERRIFIED that mark will die like in the greek story about Eurydice and Orpheus where he dies going back to save his love. Im holding onto hope given the "rule" that the main character doesnt die. I know that regardless of what the season finale is ill love it and probably hate it too in the best way if that makes sense. I just feel like as much as it would suck for him to die, its the only way to not go in the direction of him choosing between helly or gemma which maybe he doesnt need to since Helly exists BECAUSE of lumon and gemma had a life before it. Idk, so many directions are possible.

Seems you're no longer reacting to Severance, but dissecting it. With all the note-taking and stop-starting, it's a bit much.

The song, where he's driving through town, is by Charles Barkley. The same dude who sang the intro to "Big Mouth."

I saw a post that stated Hellys work badge ID # is the same number on the Cold Harbor File … what does it all mean

Goldilocks

We have Sissy who controlled the child workers , most likely molded Harmony and took control when her mother was ill. The guilt and pain of a life stolen , hers , her mother’s. I sadly don’t think Harmony will be the savior that frees Mark / Gemma , I hope I’m wrong .

Goldilocks

In the diner the older gentleman mentions a 2 thousand snow plow overturning, it reminds me of the Lexington letter , accidents /events created. Was the snow plow accident blocking Harmony’s exit from Salts Neck ?

Goldilocks

Near the end of the opening credits, that image of Cobel looking down at a patch of grass (looks like she's holding a book) and her face is all light . . Quite the Easter egg now that we know what we know!

"Sweet Vitriol" is another name for ether.
