Chapter Warnings: Let’s get ready for the ceremony!

WC: 7K

It was after lunch time when the boys grew restless about a new visitor showing up unannounced at the den. By the time the car was parked at the front of the house, however, they had all relaxed.

Hyejin came alone this time, you could see her climbing the steps of the front porch from the dining table and through the glass walls.

Namjoon got up from where the whole pack was gathered and finishing lunch, opening the door and welcoming the woman with a kind smile.

“Didn’t expect to see you until later.” your alpha told her as she took off her shoes by the door. “What brings you over?”

“Hello to you too.” the woman snickered, hoisting her backpack higher on her shoulder. “I’m not here for you, don’t worry, I’m here for your new thing.”

You stopped eating as the six boys turned comically in the direction of the door. Jimin’s arm rested on the back of your chair and even Yoongi seemed to tense up at the mention of the other alpha coming to see you. You ignored them, washing down the rest of your food with the last sip of your strawberry juice –the fruit had been handpicked by Taehyung himself– and walked to meet Namjoon and Hyejin at the entrance.

“Hi, unnie.” you bowed to her, a hand resting on Namjoon’s arm as you regarded her. The alpha seemed to relax with your touch and his body leaned ever so slightly towards yours. “Did you bring the twins today?”

The woman’s pretty face was amused, cocking an eyebrow, watching your exchange when she said: “I see the courting is going well.”

You were sure she could smell the seven men’s scents heavily on you, and maybe notice your slightly red lips from your small makeout session with Jungkook in the pantry.

“No, the twins are staying with their grandparents this weekend.” she continued after your face got red enough. “You and I are having a girl’s day. I heard you’re coming to the ceremony tonight, so I thought I’d help you get ready.”

“Oh, I’d love that!”

“How do you know about that?” Namjoon asked as his hand rubbed up and down your back in a motion that soothed you greatly.

“Nothing stays with Felix for too long. I think a lot of other packs know about it too.” she said and you remembered the pixie-like wolf you met when Jin took you into town. “And everyone is really curious about you, little one.”

If you weren’t nervous about the ceremony tonight, you most definitely were now. But Namjoon’s warm touch, and Hoseok’s words from last night, kept you calm.

“We can go to my room, then!” you chirped, excited about spending time with another woman when you had been living with boys for months. Turning to your alpha, you asked: “Is that okay?”

Namjoon nodded with a soft smile and you guided Hyejin to the second floor of the house and into your bedroom, closing the door so you could have a modicum of privacy.

You didn’t ever ask for permission to do anything, but you were aware that Hyejin was an alpha from another pack, so you guessed it would be the polite thing to do to ask yours if it was okay for her to be in the house and alone with you. You were still learning to be part of a pack, not really sure where you stood or what was expected of you.

While wolves knew all of this from birth, you hadn’t been given a manual. You didn’t even think there were many other cases of humans integrating wolf packs in the first place.

“Do you know what you’re wearing?” Hyejin asked as soon as you were both safe within the privacy of your room. Not the boys’ wolf ears couldn’t listen to what you were saying if they really tried to eavesdrop.

“Not really. I don’t have a lot, so I was hoping Jimin would pick something for me, he really likes doing that.” you told the woman sheepishly, walking to your little wardrobe. Even with the new clothes Yoongi had given you, and the few pieces you got from the boys, half of it was still empty. Most days, you knew the pack didn’t mind seeing you in repeats, but tonight was a special one. “Can you help, please?”

“I got you, don’t worry.” Hyejin smiled as he opened her backpack and started to drop its contents on top of your bed. “Why don’t you go shower and when you’re back I’ll have the perfect thing for you?”

You hesitated.

The boys had spent most of the morning scenting you like crazy, covering you in them. While they were always clingy like that, and oftentimes fought against each other to see who you could smell most of, you guessed the ceremony happening in a few hours was the reason for today’s scenting sessions. It was a way for them to mark you as theirs, as part of Bangtan, since you didn’t have your own wolf scent.

And if you showered right now, all of their hard work would be washed away and you’d be a blank canvas again. Not to mention, you’d be closer to another alpha, from another pack, Hyejin’s scent was bound to stick to you, at least a little bit. You didn’t want to upset your boys, or make them think you got rid of their scents on purpose!

“Little thing?” Hyejin called you after what felt like a long time of internal turmoil and staring.

“Right, sorry, yeah, I’ll be right back.”

With a little wave of your head, you picked up comfortable clothes to wear after your shower and locked yourself inside the bathroom you shared with Jungkook. You were slightly disappointed the wolf wasn’t there, waiting for you to steal some kisses before you eventually kicked him out so you could wash up.

You tried to make it quick, washing your hair and body as well as you could without taking too long. You didn’t really know when you were expected to leave the house, and you really didn’t want to be the cause of making the pack late on your first official outing with them. In fact, you were in such a rush that you didn’t even notice you reached for Jungkook’s soap instead of yours.

When you got back to your room, Hyejin was sitting on your bed, waiting for you surrounded by hair tools and makeup products. On the door of your wardrobe you saw a pretty white dress.

“That is so gorgeous, unnie!” you gushed, walking to it to touch the delicate lace that made up the accents of the piece. “Is it yours?”

“Mhmm. I wore it in the mating ceremony where I met Wonho.” she told you with a fond smile at the memory. “I thought you might look cute in it too.”

“You’ll really let me borrow it?” your eyes were wide as you turned back to her with surprise.

“I’ll let you keep it if you want it.” she assured you with a kind smile. “Come, let’s take care of your hair and makeup, then you can try it on.”

“Okay– oh, wait!”

You made a detour before joining her on your bed, reaching for the cardboard box you kept safe in a drawer from your dresser. You opened the delicate lid and showed Hyejin the smeraldo flower pin that Seokjin had given you the day before.

“Can you style my hair so that I can wear this?” you asked her with pink cheeks and a nibble on your bottom lip. “Jin said it’s an important flower for the pack.”

“Indeed it is, little thing. Your alpha has good taste, it looks really pretty.” Hyejin patted the space in front of her for you to sit and you kept the box in your hand as you turned your back on her. “Did he tell you what it means?”

“He just said it’s the symbol of the pack, and that it will send a message if I’m seen wearing it.”

“That’s true.” she said as she untied the towel from your wet hair. “Wear it proudly tonight.”

You intended on doing just that.

Jungkook was over the moon, pun fully intended.

The first time they went to the Mating Ceremony as a pack, he was a shy kid with big eyes and a bowl cut, and no one spared him a second look. Last time they went to the Mating Ceremony, before their move to Seoul, his best friend outside of the Bangtan had just been elected pack-alpha and another friend had found his mate.

It was safe to say he went home with a figurative tail between his legs both times.

Now Jungkook was strong, tall, and wasn’t scared of looking pretty omegas in the eyes anymore. And he wasn't worried about not finding his mate tonight, not when he already found them. When he already found you.

No matter what the hyungs told him, you were his mate. There was no doubt in his mind, nor his inner wolf’s mind. And they would all see it when you picked him.

Jungkook still loved his hyungs and respected them very much, so he wouldn’t mind sharing you with them, as long as, at the end of the day, you belonged to him.

You’d be the perfect pack omega for Bangtan, the pretty, sweet thing to be passed around, loved and spoiled the way you deserved. They would take such good care of you! Just as you took care of them. The only way for it to get any better would be his mate mark on your neck.

Unfortunately, no human was ever able to take one, dying three days later after receiving a werewolf bite; mate mark or not.

You had been upstairs with Hyejin for the past thirty minutes now, and the whole pack could hear your giggles even through the many walls. Unfortunately, they couldn’t get any closer or pay you a sneaky visit, not as Namjoon called all of them for a pack meeting.

Everyone, come to the living room. Namjoon’s calling was heard by all six of them, each stopping whatever they were doing to meet with the leader. Yes, Jimin, even you.

But I’m choosing what to wear tonight. The wolf whined and Jungkook could hear Hoseok’s bickering chuckle as the older man walked into the living room to join the ones already there.

Just go as a wolf, then you won’t have to worry about it. That’s what I’m doing! Was Taehyung’s answer, as he dropped to the couch.

But

Jiminah, this is important. Namjoon used his no-bullshit tone.

If it’s a pack meeting, shouldn’t Yn be part of it? She’s part of the pack now. Jungkook asked, hoping for an excuse to see you.

Let her have this, she should make a new friend. Seokjin told them. And I assume the subjects we’re about to go over shouldn’t be shared with her just yet.

Five minutes later, the seven of them were sitting in the living room of their den. Taehyung was already in wolf form, his dark brown fur was shiny and smooth for a change, showing that someone had combed him after a shower; probably Jimin, as the two of them had the tendency of grooming each other up for special occasions.

“I need everyone to be on their best behavior tonight.” the leader started, sending specific looks to the three youngests. “I know you get excited, but it’s important that we talk to our friendly packs, make sure our alliances are strong.”

“Yes, hyung, we know.” Jimin agreed with a nod.

“Make sure to keep your ears up in case you hear anything about Yn.” Namjoon continued, a little more nervous than he wanted to let it show.

Bringing you tonight was a risky decision to make. He agreed with Seokjin that it was the right thing to do, especially now that other packs had already heard of your existence and would no doubt be curious. But they had no way of knowing it wouldn’t backfire.

There was no way to guess which, if any, of the other packs would be offended or angry with Bangtan for bringing a human to a celebration that had been a secret to wolves for centuries. They wouldn’t let anybody be rude to you, or try to harm you in any way, you were part of the pack now.

Namjoon just hoped the price they had to pay for it wouldn’t be so high.

“Hyung, how did the meeting go?” Namjoon turned to Yoongi, as the blonde man had been in town two days ago to meet with friends from Seoul that brought them news from the big city.

“Things in Seoul have been pretty calm ever since we left. No disappearances, no random attacks. Against wolves or humans.” Yoongi said while leaning forward and resting his elbows on his knees, fingers linked together.

“That's good news... Why doesn't it sound like good news?” Namjoon chuckled, but it was a nervous one.

“Because it isn't.” Yoongi continued with a sigh, and all eyes were stuck to him. “There have been sightings of Southside in the neighboring towns around Dalju.”

“Shit.” Hoseok cursed, leg starting to bounce as a nervous tic.

“Yeah. The Southsiders seem to be going around without much of a lead, but it wouldn't be far-fetched to assume we’re in Dalju.” the second oldest continued, avoiding everyone’s concerned gazes. “This is the only city in all of South Korea that's made-up of werewolves.”

They are after her, aren't they? Taehyung asked them with a little whine, his big wolf head bumping against Jimin’s knee.

Jimin moved around a little, so his best friend could rest his head against his thigh, soothing the big pup with light scratches behind his ear. It was a soothing action for the both of them.

“That would be my first guess.” Hoseok was the one to answer, running his hand over his messy chocolate brown hair. “If their problem was with us, Southside would take advantage of our absence to take over Seoul.”

“Why would they miss that opportunity to expand their territory to search for a human?” Seokjin asked them, lost in his own thoughts.

“It makes no sense. I thought they would have lost interest in her by now.” Namjoon thought out loud, getting up from his seat to pace in front of the couch.

“Do you think it's because she's from the south? And they have a claim over her?” Jimin asked them with a small voice.

“They don't have any claims over her anymore, not since she moved.” Jungkook was the one to answer, more than a little defensive.

“Yeah, but she didn't really move. She was taken. By us.” Jimin reasoned instead. “That would make them pretty mad.”

“True, but that's just another reason for them to focus their effort in taking over Seoul.” Seokjin said, ears growing a little hot as all members looked at him. “Shouldn’t they make sure they take our territory while we’re not around to defend it? An eye for an eye, so to speak. We took something from them, they take even more from us.”

“And you don't believe that's what they are doing? Trying to take her back?” the leader asked the hyung. There was a reason Seokjin was his adviser.

“I definitely think they want her back. But not because we took her first.” Yoongi added his two scents.

“Do you think…” Jungkook stopped himself as he didn’t need to say any more for the older men to understand where he was going with it.

Yoongi nodded, saying: “I think they know more than we do. I think they know what she is.”

“She's human, we know that.” Namjoon said, a little more snippy than he probably should be.

The leader walked to the glass wall to watch the wind move the branches of the trees outside. He could barely hear your voice on the floor above and he instantly missed you. He wanted you close, where he could see you, feel you, scent your sweet vanilla and sakura.

They all did, Namjoon could sense the restlessness oozing from his pack, the uncertainty brought on by the subject they were discussing and the threats that were still very much present.

They all wanted, more than anything, to live peacefully with you. You were part of their pack now, had been accepted by all of them, and you accepted them in return. In a perfect world, your only worries from now on would be the courting, your final choice, whether or not you’d even choose one of them.

But the Southside was still after you, coming closer and closer to where you were, which put them all in a state of high alert.

“But is that all she is?” Seokjin wondered, pulling Namjoon back to the meeting.

“Yes.” the leader insisted. Because the alternative was bigger than them. It was more than you could ever handle.

“Namjoonah.” Yoongi called tiredly. “Before this you didn't want her to be human so it wouldn't mess up your moral compass, but now you do?”

“I don't... I just want her to be safe.” was the leader’s reply as he turned around to face the pack.

She is safe. As long as she’s with us, she’ll stay safe. And she’s not going anywhere, right? Taehyung asked them, head bumping against Jimin’s hand when the scratching stopped.

“Not unless she wants to leave.” Jimin told him softly.

Jimin leaned down to nuzzle his head against Taehyung’s, who licked the man’s neck where his scent gland was. It was clear all seven of them were growing antsy, stressed about this meeting, nervous about the ceremony later tonight, not to mention worried about you being out of their sight.

Not wanting to be left out, or hoping for some comfort, Jungkook draped himself over who was closer to him, hugging Hoseok by his back. The older man let the maknae nuzzle into his neck, tipping it to the side to give him more space to kiss and nose at.

“I know that’s not what you want to hear, but are we sure she’s not a wolf? Or something else?” Seokjin’s voice was quiet as he regarded the leader, knowing it was a sensitive subject.

“What else could she be?” Namjoon sighed, sitting on an armchair when he grew tired of pacing.

“Well, there are legends–” Jimin peeped.

“Don’t start, you know those are bedtime stories.” Namjoon cut him off.

She has to be something! You can’t pretend she hasn’t been showing signs, hyung. Taehyung complained with a throaty groan.

“Maybe those signs just mean she’s intuitive.” Namjoon tried to justify, but the other six werewolves complained at the same time, filling the living room in noise and howls.

Yoongi let out a scoff and his voice rose above the others: “Really? So you think she could recognize our wolf forms because she has good intuition?” he paused and the other fell into silence. “Not to mention the haze, the need to feel like she’s part of the pack, how she feels anxious when one of us is gone too long, the need to help out. How she’s clearly affected by our pheromones–”

“She heard Jungkook last night.” Hoseok admitted and it was his turn to be stared at.

“What?” Namjoon asked with a frown.

Jungkook stopped scenting the hyung to look at his side profile.

“He was talking to me, bickering really, and she heard him.” Hoseok explained.

“What’s the problem, what did he say?” Yoongi asked, eyeing the maknae suspiciously, making him pout.

“The problem isn't what he said, but how. He spoke in my mind.”

“And you’re sure she heard me?” Jungkook perked up at the news, he hadn’t heard that before.

“She repeated the words back to me.” Hoseok nodded.

That filled Jungkook with pride and happiness, letting go of the hyung to puff his chest and state:

“See? She’s my mate!”

Is there such a thing as a human mating a wolf? Taehyung asked. He would have raised an eyebrow if his wolf form had one.

“Of course not.” Namjoon shook his head.

“What about a bond?” Jimin supplied.

“Equally unlikely.”

She fell into omega space with Jiminie and I. The wolf told them, hearing necks cracking all around as they turned to stare at him.

“That’s impossible.” Hoseok’s forehead had a few lines between his brows.

“I think that, moving forward, we should all just assume that nothing is impossible when it comes to her.” Yoongi stated and there were hums of agreement from the others.

It’s true! Tae insisted.

“It was intense, too, made worse because she couldn't control it, she didn't even know it was happening. I don't think it ever happened before either, not like that…” Jimin recalled what happened while you were with him and Tae in the playroom.

She smelled so sweet. I could almost taste her in the air, she was so wet and willing. Taehyung laid down with his head on the couch, sniffing the fabric while he tried to scent any trace of you that might be left behind.

“She offered herself to us.” Jimin sighed, picking a cushion to hold tight against his chest, dreamily.

“Ugh, stop, I don't wanna hear that shit.” Yoongi complained in what could only be described as a jealous pout.

“No, hyung, sh–she offered herself to all of us.” Jimin said, and their ears perked up. “Said she wanted to go around the house, make us all bite her.”

Then she wanted to drag everyone into the playroom so we could take our turns fucking her. Taehyung whined.

All of them let out grunts and groans, some of them squirming a little, others looking up as if they had x-ray vision to see through the ceiling and walls so they could find you.

“What is it about her?” Yoongi sighed, resting against the back of the couch.

“I don’t know, but we all agree that there is something?” Hoseok copied the hyung’s sigh.

“Maybe we should start looking into it.” Seokjin agreed.

Your hair had been styled in a bun at the back of your head, being pinned in place with the flower Seokjin had ordered to be made specially for you. It was a little messy, with some strands of hair framing your face, but tight enough so it wouldn’t fall if you moved too much. This hairstyle didn’t cover anything of your neck, which meant Hyejin had to spend at least twenty minutes color-correcting and covering the bruises the boys had left on your neck from all of the hickies and love bites that started with Namjoon.

You were absolutely red in the face, but the woman had the gentleness of not commenting on it.

She was sitting in front of you now, dusting light eyeshadow on your closed lids, as he asked:

“How are you feeling about tonight?”

“Excited… And terrified, I guess.” you laughed softly, trying not to move too much.

“You’re right to feel excited, it’s a pretty ceremony if you’ve never been to one. You’ll see a lot of wolves, and there’s dancing and music, food, performances.” Hyejin told you, chuckling as she heard your heart start to beat a little faster with excitement. “And you’d be really stupid if you weren’t at least a little bit scared.”

That made your eyes open, so Hyejin’s hand holding a makeup brush paused midair. “So I do have reasons to be scared? The boys said I would be okay.”

“You will, I’m sure of it. They wouldn’t take you if there were risks involved.” the girl assured you, signaling for you to close your eyes again. “But you’re with the Bangtan pack.”

“Is that… supposed to mean something?” you frowned, feeling the soft swipe of the bristles on your left eyelids.

“It means a lot, little thing.” you heard her say and peeked through your right eye. “Bangtan is the only pack made solely by alphas in all of South Korea. One of the few in the world. Which means that all kinds of wolves want to join them.”

“Join them, or mate them?”

“Really smart indeed.” she thought out loud with a smile. “Your boys are sought out. Think of them as really suitable bachelors that every male and female omega desires. They haven’t been in Dalju for a really long time, and haven’t attended this ceremony in years. So people are expecting to see them tonight, hoping their scents and charm will be enough to attract them.”

It made sense. And you could imagine how it sounded. According to Hyejin, Bangtan hadn’t been to that ceremony in years, and suddenly they’d be there? It sent a message. Maybe they were finally looking for their mates.

Even if you knew that wasn’t the case, you could imagine how unmated wolves would be excited about the prospects of tonight. And to make matters worse, they would show up with you. A woman. A human.

“God, I'm in trouble, aren't I?” you mewled, nibbling on your bottom lip.

“No one is going to attack you for being with them, or anything like that.” Hyejin told you with an amused smile. “But I should also warn you that not everyone is as open minded. Not everyone will be okay with the fact that you’re human.”

“Right, that’s also a thing.” you sighed, wondering more and more why you were even going tonight.

“Most of them never got close to humans in the first place, especially if they belong to local packs.”

“Do you think maybe I should ask Namjoon to let me stay here?” you couldn’t hide your nerves, even if Hyejin wasn’t able to hear your heartbeat.

“I’m not trying to scare you into staying inside the den, little thing.” she explained with kind eyes while dusting a chunky brush on a coral pink powder, bringing it to your cheeks. “Besides, let your alphas show you off. I’m sure they are dying to introduce you as an official member of their pack.”

“You know about that?” you didn’t know why she was applying the pink powder on your cheeks when you already blushed easily enough.

“Mhmm. I can see it in their faces.” she chuckled conspiratorially.  “But even if I didn’t know your boys so well, Felix is a big gossip. He knows Seokjin ordered this hairpin for you, and that was telling enough for him to put the pieces together.”

You supposed that was true. And you couldn’t forget the fact that Felix had also seen you kiss Seokjin, pressed up against the glass wall of his flower shop. There was no way ke didn’t think Jin was at least courting you.

“Is there anything else I should know?” you asked, as the boys hadn’t given you a lot of information when it came to the ceremony tonight and you didn’t want to go in completely blind.

“Things get rowdy sometimes.” Hyejin said, showing you two colors of lipstick for you to choose. “A lot of unmated wolves wait all year for this night, in hopes of finding the love of their lives, or to be brave enough to ask someone they are interested in out on a date. You can imagine what happens if two alphas have the hots for the same omega.”

“Oh my god, do they fight?!”

“Sometimes. Nowadays, the wanted wolf will just choose between the two suitors and things are solved like that.” she let you take the lipstick you wanted and walk to the mirror in your bedroom so you could apply it yourself. “But if the wolf wants to cause some drama, they won’t choose, and the alphas might challenge each other.”

“Like… To a duel?!” you gasped, eyes wide as you looked at your friend through the mirror.

“Kind of.” she shrugged. “But that hasn’t happened in a while, so you don’t have to worry.”

That was a relief. And at least you didn’t have to worry about anyone challenging the boys for you.

After you added the soft berry lipstick to your lips, you watched your whole face and hair in the mirror, promising yourself to make more of an effort about your appearance if you were able to look this pretty with just a bit of makeup and hair mousse.

“Ready for the dress?” Hyejin beamed, getting up from the bed to pick up the hanger with her white dress.

“I’ve been ready since I saw it!”

You nodded, reaching for the piece when she handed it to you.

You locked yourself inside the bathroom, hanging the dress at the back of the door while you undressed carefully so as to not mess up your hair or makeup. At least you had the conscience of picking white panties, as any brighter color would definitely show under it.

The dress was heavy as you pulled it up your legs through the unbuttoned back, which was a good thing so you wouldn’t completely freeze tonight. The sleeves stopped just above your elbows and the top part was thick enough so that you didn’t need to wear a bra underneath.

The front had a low square cut that made your breasts look soft and full, and your collarbones and neck were completely exposed. It was a little more fitted at the waist, complete with two long strips on the sides so you could tie it in the back and accentuate your waist and hips even further. It ended just under your knees, and a soft lace hem made it look just a little longer.

The fabric was a pretty white color, completely covered in embroidery of delicate designs of moons and stars.

When you left the bathroom, you were feeling a little shy.

“What do you think?” Hyejin smiled as she looked you up and down.

“Are you sure I can pull this off?” you were holding the skirt of the dress. You felt really pretty with it, but you hadn’t worn something like this ever in your life, and you were just now getting used to wearing clothes that fit you this well.

“Are you kidding? Looks like it was made for you!” the woman insisted. “Turn around, let me close it.”

You turned to face your mirror as Hyejin stood behind you. She closed the few buttons that went up your spine and then pulled on the fabric strips to tie it up around your waist with a pretty bow that rested on your back.

A small knock on your door made your heart go a little crazy and Hyejin laughed as she heard it. She walked to your door and opened it just a crack, cocking her head to whoever it was that was standing out there.

“May I help you?” the woman asked with a hand on her hips.

“We need to leave soon. Is she ready?” Namjoon sounded a little on edge and you had no idea why.

“Uh-huh. But I don’t think I’m letting her go with you.” Hyejin said as she looked at you and sent you a little wink. “She’s too pretty. I might keep her all to myself.”

Like hell you will! Jimin was complaining from somewhere inside the house, which made you giggle.

“You better let me go before Jiminie climbs up through the balcony.” you said with a new laugh.

Hyejin frowned, looking at you with a funny look. But she relented and pushed the door of your bedroom a little wider, allowing Namjoon to see you for the first time. And if you were shy before, now you were absolutely bashful.

Namjoon’s reply was a low growl, coming deep from his chest. He was wearing light blue jeans and a white button shirt, rolled at the elbows and opened enough to show his collarbones. His chest looked even bigger as the button in the middle of his pecs fought for dear life.

“I’ll just… Pick up my things and go.” Hyejin spoke, breaking your stare competition.

“Thank you so much for helping me get ready, unnie.” you told her honestly, bending down to tie your sandals around your ankles. When you rose to your feet again, you caught Namjoon staring at your chest. “Are we going now, alpha?”

Namjoon gulped and nodded. “We’re leaving in a bit, can you go meet the others downstairs?”

“Of course.”

You knew that was code for ‘I need to talk to Hyejin in private’, so you passed by both wolves with the intention of walking downstairs. Before you could reach the top of the stairs, however, Namjoon called you again.

“Hang on, just–”

You turned around to see the leader walking to you with two long steps, turning you around to press your back against the wall. You gasped softly, body melting into his much warmer one.

“Joon–”

“You need to smell like your pack, little human.” Namjoon’s face leaned in as long fingers held your chin. “How mad will you be if I ruin your lipstick?”

“Surprisingly not mad at all.” you admitted in a tiny voice, raising on your toes to press your lips together with his.

Namjoon’s lips moved first, softly, slowly. He didn’t deepen the kiss, but his lips dragged down your jaw and neck. His little groan told you he was upset his mark had been covered up and your small hands squeezed at his shoulders so that he didn’t even try to uncover what the makeup had hidden.

He respected your silent request, but dragged his nose and lips all over the column of your throat, making you smell like him. You could feel the fog approaching, trying to take over your brain, make you pliant to the man’s advances. You reeled it in, however, learning more and more how to control it each day that passed.

You wanted nothing more than to submit to your alpha, but you were about to go out and you needed to be in your normal mindstate. Namjoon didn’t push you any further either, letting you go with another soft kiss against your lips.

He walked into your bedroom and closed the door softly behind him. You were all sighs and silly smiles as you walked down the stairs to find someone else already waiting for you at the bottom.

“Fuck, look at you.” Jungkook was also wearing white; a white sweater that made him look cozy as hell, and tight denim pants that framed his thick thighs. “You look like a princess.”

“Stop that!” you giggled, accepting his arms around you as you reached the bottom step. “You look really handsome, Kook.”

“Mhmm, guess hyung already started to work on you, huh?” Jungkook’s face hid on the crook of your neck, on the opposite side of the one Namjoon had scented.

You hugged his shoulders as you tipped your head to the side to give him more room to cover, shuddering as you felt his tongue lick a bold stripe from the base of your neck, to your ear. You moaned softly as his hands on your back started moving down, past your bow, to rest on your ass.

“Jungkookie–” you sighed, hand slipping into his dark hair.

“I’m here, baby.” he groaned, sounding as needy as you felt. The boy opened his mouth and you felt his teeth press against your skin–

“Put those away!” you complained, flinching away from him.

Jungkook looked scared for a second, so sad he pouted and it broke your heart. The little whine that he let out made you hold him tighter as he threatened to pull away from you.

“Sorry.” you said sheepishly, touching the side of his face to bring him in so you could kiss his pout over and over again. “Hyejin unnie had a lot of trouble covering everyone’s marks on my neck.”

“She shouldn’t have covered them in the first place.” Jungkook complained, but was answering to each kiss you gave him.

“I’m sure I wouldn’t make a very good impression on other packs if I showed up like that.” you giggled, letting go of Jungkook as you heard heavy steps coming from the end of the hallway.

What other pack are you trying to impress? You heard Taehyung asking, but when he appeared in your line of sight, he was in wolf form. You frowned, not sure how fast he had turned from man into wolf, but you didn’t question it as his fur looked so soft and shiny you had to touch it!

“Not trying to impress anybody.” you told him, walking the few steps it took to reach him. “Aren’t you gorgeous today?”

“Hyung asked me to tell you that he’s always gorgeous.” Jungkook told you rather reluctantly.

In wolf form, Taehyung’s head was at your waist level. If he stood on his hind legs, you were sure he’d still be a great deal taller than you. If you ever saw him out and about before meeting him, you would be terrified of his size, as he was one of the biggest wolves, alongside Namjoon and Jungkook.

His snout hit your hip and you wobbled from the force, but you let him drag his head all over your lower stomach and the side of your thighs, covering you in his scent in the only way he could while in his animal form. You treated your finger through his thick fur, squeezing the fat behind his neck, making him croon.

“Are the others in the living room?” you asked both boys and you could swear you heard Taehyung woof a confirmation.

“Jin hyung is in the kitchen.” Jungkook told you, walking past you to show you the way.

As if you hadn’t been there hundreds of times before.

Taehyung ran ahead, much faster than you could keep up, but he walked past the kitchen and something told you he was on his way to meeting Jimin. Jungkook gave you one last sneaky kiss before you crossed the archway that led you into the kitchen.

“Okay, I’m starting to think this was calculated.” you commented as you saw Jin was wearing a long white shirt, on top of white pants. “Are we all wearing white?”

Seokjin smiled as he looked you over, taking a while to answer you just so he could admire how pretty you were in Hyejin’s dress. “You should wear white everyday, little doe. It suits you.”

“You think so?” you grinned, giving him a little twirl. Then you turned around again to show him the back of your head. “Oh! Look at the pin!”

“Looks perfect.”

Seokjin’s voice was low and closer than you expected when he held onto your hips and pulled you back into his chest. His lips met the nape of your exposed neck and he kissed all over your heating skin. You melted into his embrace, pushing back against him before you could think better of it.

“Careful, doe.” he told you in a lower tone, lips still stuck to your skin. His hold on your hips grew stronger as he pushed his against your ass and said: “You don’t want to create a problem you won’t have time to solve.”

“That would be the opposite of a problem.” you sighed, grinding your ass harder against him in a clear invitation.

Seokjin clearly had a lot more self restraint than you did as he took a step back with a small laugh. You turned around to face him and offered him your puckered lips. At least he didn’t have the heart to deny you a few gentle kisses before asking:

“Are you hungry? There will be food there, but I’d feel better if you ate something before we leave.”

“I’ll eat anything my alpha gives me.” you said with a slow blink of your long-mascara-covered lashes.

“You dangerous little thing.”

Jin shook his head and instead of turning to retrieve the sandwich you could already see on top of the counter, he touched the back of your neck with a gentle hand and drew you in for another kiss. A real one this time, slow and long, licking into your mouth as you gave him passage with the parting of your lips.

“Ugh, why do I smell–” Hoseok’s voice made Seokjin pull away from your lips. You tried chasing them back, but he turned his wide back to you. “I should have known it is you that smells so sweet, pretty girl.”

“Hoseokie!”

You turned to him, hands going straight to the sides of his neck, pressing your parted lips to his. You swiped your tongue between his lips, as it became harder and harder to control the fog when they looked so good, smelled delicious, and felt even better. Hoseok allowed you to kiss him, holding you close to him with both arms around your waist, tongue exploring your mouth freely.

He pulled away way too soon, so you sucked on your bottom lip to enjoy the last of his taste on your lips.

“You look stunning.” Hoseok told you as he looked at you properly for the first time.

“Thank you.” you smiled, blinking away the mist. “Why are we all wearing white?”

“It’s formality, really.” Hoseok explained, unwrinkling his white button down as best as he could. “Unmated wolves are expected to wear white.”

“To show you’re available?” you scowled as Jin lifted the sandwich towards your lips.

Instead of taking it from him like a capable adult, you simply took a bite. The man smiled, however, obviously not bothered by having to feed you.

“We’re not available, little doe.” Jin said, knowingly, and your cheeks heated up. “But we don’t have any marks on our necks.”

“We thought that showing up unmatted, with a human, wearing any other color, might not be taken lightly by some of the more traditional packs.” Hoseok explained as you took another bite as Jin brought the snack to your lips. “Some might think we’re trying to start something up.”

“I get it.” you said, covering your mouth. “I wouldn’t want to get you in trouble.”

We’re already in trouble, dove. Jimin chirped before walking into the kitchen in wolf form.

“Wait, how–” you frowned, watching the golden wolf trot closer to you, long tail wagging and hitting Hoseok on the leg.

“What is it?” Jin asked you after feeding you the last of the sandwich.

“Not sure.” you shook your head, letting it go as Jimin’s snout hit your palm. “Hi, Jiminie.”

The wolf crooned as you scratched under his chin and his long tongue licked at your wrist. Your nose scrunched at the wet feeling, but the wolves liked to lick at your wrists so you were slightly used to it by now. Well, as used as you could be.

“Are you and Tae going to the ceremony like this?” you asked the wolf, holding his pretty face between your hands. He was a lot smaller than Tae, and his caramel eyes were a lot lighter.

He woofed a reply, making you giggle.

“They like to run around like puppies.” Hoseok teased, receiving another slap from Jimin’s tale.

“I think they are cute like this.” you said, letting go of Jimin as he searched for Seokjin to lick the crumbs off his fingers. “I really like when you guys turn.”

Not only did all behave a little more playfully, sometimes letting their instincts speak louder than reason, they were all so pretty. You often wondered what you would look like if you were a wolf. Would your fur be white like Yoongi’s? Would you be brown, with golden streaks like Jin? Or maybe mixed colors like Hoseok?

As Jimin distracted Seokjin with his teasing licks and Hobi looked around for a quick snack, you left the kitchen to look for the last wolf you hadn’t seen yet. Yoongi was in the living room, scrolling through his phone, but he dropped it as soon as he heard you approaching.

“Hey, sweetheart– wow.” Yoongi’s lips were pulled up enough for you to see his pink gums.

“Hey, handsome.” you smiled, accepting his hand as he pulled you to sit on the couch, making sure you were stuck to his side as his arm circled your shoulders. “Didn’t think you had anything but black in your wardrobe.”

“Eh, it’s a stupid rule for a stupid ceremony.” he said, bumping his nose against your cheek. Yoongi’s lips dragged against your jaw, all the way to your ear. “I can smell everyone else on you.”

“Wanna taste them too?” you teased, looking for his lips with yours.

Yoongi was smirking when you found his lips and pressed them with yours. It was a shame Taehyung and Jimin were in wolf form before you got to kiss them too, but this was something you could definitely get used to.

The man sighed as he pulled you closer to him and you cradled his face with both hands, licking his top lip as you asked for permission to deepen the kiss. He gave it to you, pushing his tongue into your mouth and bending his head to the side to kiss you deeper.

One of your hands slipped to his neck, on the way to his chest, but his little blissful whine made you pause your fingers there. As his tongue licked yours slowly, you tested the waters and gave his throat a little squeeze; barely there, light as a feather, and Yoongi still whined.

He pulled away from you with half lidded eyes and slightly swollen lips.

“I can’t believe you’re ours.” he mumbled, more to himself than to you, and it made your heart soar.

You let go of his throat, hands falling against your lap as you looked down with a smile that screamed your true feelings. Yoongi only smiled harder and kissed your cheek as the two of you heard the rest of the pack and Hyejin approach.

Namjoon’s call was strong and determined: “Everyone’s ready to go?”
