Here's this month's Atlas and the Stars update, you can check out the previous updates for this episode in this tag.
MAY PROGRESS
Although I managed to get something done, this was one of the worst months for me by far. It feels like I've been riding on a high-speed train for the past several months and after finally wearing myself way too thin, I've inevitably crashed into a dead-end stop. I pumped out a bunch of keyframes and rough animation as soon as May hit, but right after that I fell into a pit of burnout and have not touched the episode since. Burnout can be incredibly rough, especially when you don't know how to manage it. Luckily, I know how to pull myself back up but in order to do that I need to completely step back, and May has allowed me to do just that.

Outside of the animation I've prepped the entire episode in order to be sent over to my sound engineer who will be handing all of the audio work for this episode. I've also been preparing my booth setup for an upcoming convention that's at the start of June, and I've had more time to experiment with my streaming endeavors on Twitch with my new Vtuber model!
I'm sorry this update isn't the happiest, but hopefully this will be the last one like this. I can feel the motivation beginning to resurface, but I cannot rush this and will be taking it easy, returning to the episode when I am mentally ready to. As always, I appreciate the continued support a ton, thanks for sticking by through the thick and the thin. ❤️
JUNE GOALS
I hope to make at least some new progress on the animation this month, even if it's just a little bit. I think that I might need to let go of the idea that this might be releasing this year, because a deadline is causing much more stress to me than is needed. If the episode gets finished this year, then great! If not, then there's always next year. If I do return to the animation I think I'm going to ditch the scene I was working on (Scene 4). It is an incredibly complex scene that requires very tedious animation work and has definitely contributed to my burnout. I have no desire to jump back into that scene so I will gravitate towards an easier and calmer part of the episode.
Like I mentioned before, I have an upcoming convention this month! I'm trying to record as much footage as possible so hopefully I'll have another vlog out this year. I'll also post the behind-the-scenes process of my table including all the stages of the mockup artwork, my previous booth from 2024, the photos I've taken throughout the progress of building my new booth and the final result with multiple close ups and an in-depth description of how I came up with parts of the table and why.
