You are lucky you can just jump right into the final 2 episodes! The rest of us shmucks had to wait like 6 weeks while digesting the reveal that Vecna was 001!!! The discussion about Brenner is very interesting too because he's obviously evil for what he was doing to the kids, but at the same time, he is trying to get them to embrace their powers and become something greater. He really is right that people are never truly black and white. Even 001 telling El that the other kids were going to kill her could very much be a lie. I've also personally believed the idea that 001 is actually the true father of all of the kids and that Brenner somehow made it so that various women who became pregnant via sperm donation got it from him and that's how he was able to get so many children for the experiments.

2024-04-13 19:35:48 +0000 UTCone of the better reveals i've seen in a show in a really long time before and after. his back story is pretty amazing, and the actor did an excellent job. i would like to say, brenner is and has always been a bad guy. there really is no 'morally grey area' with him. let's not forget he sought out one with the intent to control him, and when he couldn't, sought to make copies of him that he could control. he tortured, tested, abused, kidnapped, and imprisoned children so he could do this. even now, i wouldn't say his intentions are all that 'noble'. he could care less what happens to his employees or the people of hawkins, as long as he gets 11 back. someone who called him papa and with the abilities of 1. his perfect 'child'.
