Patreon Q&A Feb 2022 no.1

2/27 @ 09:30 JST! Leave me a question below or join me live. I’ll do another one late afternoon to hit another time zone :) this month has been heavy film and edit, the main channel for most of the attention and in March, we’ll balance it all out. 2022 is going to be a great year!

Hi John. What is your favorite cherry blossom flavored product? Can Leo almost walk🚶‍♂️and say more words? Can he say John and Kanae😮?

Tony

Hi John. First, thank you for the great video on how the train stations are cleaned. That was so interesting! I wanted to ask if Kanae likes to watch asadora? My daughter and I have been watching now for almost a decade and haven’t missed one since. We just love it. Your live stream about prefectural stores in Tokyo reminded us of some of the asadora stories that take place in the small towns. Our family canceled our Japan 2020 trip, another for early 2022 , and hope we can reschedule it for ‘23 now. 🙂

What is Japan's perspective regarding Russia's attack on the Ukraine and what are your thoughts about how this event will effect Japan?

Vern Dietsche (aka UFO Bob)

We know that Kochi is on the top of your “live away from the city” list. Are there any other parts of Japan you’d move to?

Raymond Centeno

Hello John. Mike in Seattle here. Please pull out your finely tuned crystal ball and give me your prediction of a US citizen (not on a student visa, not for business) being able to enter Japan in late June of this year to visit family in Kyoto. Thank you for your great work John.

What is the favorite part when you make a documentary? Can you take us through the process?

Tommy Kay

Happy end of Feb John and fam :) ... Planning a trip to DC in April to see the Cherry Blossoms (donated by Japan)...but I see Newark NJ actually has MORE. Did you ever get to see them in Newark before heading to Japan...maybe this is your genesis story :)

Hey John, I have been wondering why people only hear about the big groups in J-Pop And J-Rock as in Baby Metal and AKB48. There is a ton of great J-Rock And J-Pop that is good and with talented artists but they aren’t publicized as much, I was wondering if you knew why that is. Thank you!
