POSTCARD CLUB | December 2019

Many of you have been watching for a long time, some may have joined this week - one person yesterday, so to match the YEAR END 2019 card you received this week, this card will be delivered on December 20th (or earlier if it arrives earlier) so you get it before the New Year. The 1M Subscriber award is still a hard one to get, requires a lot of work for non-celebrities and although it's a cheap piece of tin wrapped around a piece of ply wood (I'm guessing here) it's one symbol of our growing community. I can't say THANK YOU enough and everyone in the postcard club between Dec 1 and Dec 31, 2019 will get this with a nice stamp TBA. The man giving me the award is HIKAKIN, one of the top 3 YouTuber's in Japan. I was the first non-Japanese to ever be on stage and this was a kind of glass ceiling for creators in Japan. Almost everyone just gets it sent in the mail to them. There are still not many 1M subscriber level YouTube creators in Japan (compared to the USA) but it's growing fast!
From this, I hope to work closer with Japanese YouTubers - maybe help them make better content or some in English so they learn there's a BIG WORLD out there who is deeply interested in their country.
Anyway, this is a big deal to me and to our community.

Not many view "YouTubing" as a solid profession. But, your dedication and hard work has gotten you to this point. I simply cannot wait to see what's going to happen next for you. I'm thinking big things....
