We hope you’ve been enjoying the Parabellum update. Now that it’s fully released it is time to talk about the upcoming Halloween event.
The spooky season is upon us once again and, just like last year, a Halloween update is underway. We’re all hard at work to make it even bigger and better. This means that we’re bringing back a fan favourite — SCP-330! Although it seems we’ve run out of pink candy, we do have a new and improved model:

Along with new models, each candy has an exciting new effect! Since SCP-330 will be staying after the Halloween update, each Halloween will bring with it dramatically different effects.
We want you to experience these effects first hand, but we will go into some detail. The new effects include:
[Red Candy — Sugar Crash]
The player will experience inverted mouse controls for 15 seconds before receiving a full HP regen and 50 AHP over a small amount of time.
[Yellow Candy — Sugar Rush]
The player receives increased movement speed for ten seconds and has their stamina frozen for three seconds. Eight seconds into this speed boost, the mouse controls become inverted for 15 seconds.
[Purple — Slow Metabolism]
The player is immediately given a lot of AHP, however, they will have reduced movement speed and become extremely overweight for ten seconds.
[Rainbow — Caramelization]
The player immediately explodes leaving behind a rainbow cloud. Luckily the effect is non-lethal.
[Green — Sugar High]
Increases the player’s jump height for 15 seconds. It will then inflict the disabled effect for a certain amount of time, depending on the number of jumps. (2 x amount of times jumped = seconds with infliction.)
[Blue — Sugar Crave]
Inflicts massive █████████ to the player, causing ███████ ███████ and ██████, █████ turning a █████ █████, a wide open █████ with ██████████ ████. Players will drop all items and have the ability to perform ████████ █████ ███████, have 350AHP, gain increased damage and speed. These effects last 15 seconds before the player is inflicted with ███████, ███████, █████████, ████████, ████████ and █████████ for three seconds before returning to “normal”.
As usual, you can only take two pieces of candy. Even that fills up precious inventory space but don’t worry SCP-330 now comes with a handy solution. Any candies picked up from SCP-330 or from dead players will be put in a candy bag with six slots.
Candies can be dropped individually or the whole bag can be dropped. If your bag is full, you will not be able to pick up any more until more space is made available.
With SCP-330 being added permanently, it only makes sense for it to have its own home. The previous SCP-012 chamber has been remodeled depicting a typical test chamber for a safe-class SCP; this is where SCP-330 will be kept.
The chamber includes an observation/control room separate from the main test chamber. The main test chamber’s door can only be opened from the observation/control room. While this chamber is still a work-in-progress we want to give you an idea of what to expect:

While we can’t wait to show you more about the update, sometimes it’s best to experience it first hand!
Until then, we want to thank everyone for their continued support of Northwood Studios and SCP: Secret Laboratory.
Have a great day!
