Sound! Euphonium, S.2, Ep. 3 - Troubled Nocturnes

So there's beef between our oboist and the flutist?! How can this be?!

The problem is the oboist is not even conscious (she has kind of a detached personality): it was told she has a sort of trauma which got psycosomatic, and get sick when she hear the flute and even panic when she sees the flautist. The girls who know, are trying to protect both probably (but can't solve the problem actually), but giving the priority to the oboist, quite obviously.

There's more going on with Mizore and Nozomi than a straightforward disliking of each other, more nuance which you'll find out about soon enough. You'll also get far more depth and backstory regarding the two characters again in 'Liz and the Blue Bird'. In the main series they're part of the ensemble cast, well realised for sure but still side characters, whereas in the film they are the leads, with all the added focus and character development that comes with it. Can't say much more without getting into spoiler territory, other than I thought I understood them both pretty well within the regular show, but the film then opened my eyes to more perspectives I hadn't considered.
