How I create fluid wallpapers on iPhone
Added 2022-01-22 21:07:14 +0000 UTCBefore I start, you can do this on a stock device. Nothing special here.
Apps I use
Wallax ($0.99 in AppStore but look for the bundle)
Lightroom
Fluid
In Fluid you can interact with fluid :) Most of these free apps are absolute trash, but Fluid gets the job done. You can use a base image or setup colors. I setup 2 dark colors one being lighter than the other. Then start moving fluid until you like it. Here is an example of one of mine.

I like dark wallpapers and would use this as is, but gradients are a big hit. To add a color gradient to this image I use Wallax. Add your image in Wallax, choose repix, colorize, gradient, and choose your colors.

This changes the look drastically. Wallax gives many other options as well.
I use Lightroom for final touches as it gives you fine control over lighting, color, vignette, noise clean, etc. I notice in fluid wallpapers a vignette gives the wall more depth. Here is an example with and without vignette.

Less is more with vignette and this may look overdone if you look at the wallpaper alone. Test on the device and see how it looks you might be surprised. I also used no color in the Fluid app. You can use colors and skip the whole Wallax part but I found it hard to get something I liked.
If you make some please share! We have a wallpaper section in discord.
