Hi Roger! Welcome to the community! Fabien explained it really well, HC is a roguelike/lite, which means that losing is part of the process. The basic gameplay loop consists of: Start a run > Lose > Buy new perks > Repeat, this can be grindy and definitely not for everyone. However, after a few runs you start to recognize enemy patterns, know which situations should be avoided, and which items, attributes, techniques you should look for, it can be quite rewarding. Currently there is no official way to set your gold, exp or fame to a desired amount, but finding a way to cheat these values ​​shouldn't be that hard. Have fun with HC2 and let me know if you run into issues or have any questions.

Hi Roger, glad to have you with us! If I understand you right, your skill tree is staying but the hero stats are resetting. That is intended. The game is a rogue-lite type experience, where you keep the main skill tree BUT your stats are reset every time you die. When you start a new run, the fame you earned is added for you to put points on the skill tree, but you have to re allocate your level 1 stats again and start from scratch level wise. As you progress up the skill tree enough, you will get enough bonus points and gold that starting a new run doesn't feel so crippling as it does when you don't have much in the skill tree. If I misunderstood, then Diogaoo would know more.

I think HC1 had many interesting bits of lore and factions! Like the nuns that forced you into their cleansing rituals, the hero that wanted help defeating a certain enemy, the tribe that could kidnap you, some people in town... On top of that, it could be interesting to add some sort of lore to the world in general. Most women seem to fight the hero pretty much unprompted. Maybe they are under the influence of an individual or an organization? Maybe there's a reward for anyone that can defeat a hero? Maybe they're minions or underlings of a powerful foe? That could give the game a sense of working towards defeating an enemy, or unveiling a conspiracy or something similar. Perhaps somewhere in the tower. The whole part of HC1 with the map pieces and the ghost hunt was pretty serviceable as well.

For sure ! A new shemale enemy will be added in v1.25 or 1.30. I'll starting looking for the next albums soon and it really depends on how hard it will be to find them

Thanks for the update. New girls are cool. A few small issues: Josie has black screen (image missing) on first addiction increase. Fairy powder did manage to stay overnight when I went with it to town at 9pm. Violet starts with 800/100 lust? Masturbation sound stuck on Violet after passing the first set of 2 questions. Otherwise, replayed all arena girls in one run today and Jasmine is weird. Other two were easy for my character, but Jasmine did just stunlock me inside a titjob, and that was it. Core gameplay of her fight seems to be just waiting for a lucky dice roll.

Hmm... I didn't make any changes to that part and after a quick look it seems to be fine, I'll run some tests just to be sure. I also updated the downloadable version with the Violet bug fixed, thanks for reporting!

Is the refining using the right numbers? Seems like a few runs in a row I got hardlocked around level 12, and 60 iron later I'm still at level 12. been up to 13 a few times but I run into level downs as often as level ups. Also Violet.rpy line 437 typeerror <= not supported between str and int

Yeah, right now the Museum and Arena Modifiers only accept cashed-in/persistent Fame, not Fame you earned in the current run. I realized that this might be counterintuitive, I'll improve the system in the future by depleting the persistent fame first and then moving on to the current run Fame

In all fairness, I think there’s been a lot of developing done to establish mechanics and gameplay experience, and the “storyline” was temporarily put on the back burner. Now that the games core mechanics have been established, I think we can expect to see a lot more content being added, and more of a storyline start to be fleshed out. The addition of the museum is awesome, and I’m excited to see how Diogaoo will be adding more content in the future!

In your first one it just seemed like you had a goal. I don't think you have to be the greatest story in the world but just the fact that you were leveling up to be able to face the tower that had an eventual end was more than enough for me. Even having the fact that you would meet someone in the Dark woods that sent you to find an upgraded enemy gave the feel of pushing further beyond just going to a place and fighting enemies. Don't get me wrong, I still love the and still support it no matter what you do. Just speaking out loud.

I get what you're saying Wolf, HC2 had more updates and consequently more content than HC1 so I guess this feeling is inevitable, but I try to add stuff as intuitively as possible. About the story... Well... I'm not the best storyteller so I try to focus on the gameplay, which can lead a really straigh-forward game, although I've never seen it as a negative point. Anyway, I wouldn't want HC2 to be aimless, do you have any suggestions on what we could improve?

Is it just me or does it seem like this game is starting to be all over the place? The first game had a story and missions, this just seems aimless. Am I missing something?
