August Update Post
Added 2024-08-27 12:43:50 +0000 UTCHi everyone, HC2 v1.15 is almost ready and will feature a new area, a new boss rush mode and new enemies. Let's talk about the details:
When opening the Tower customization screen, players will now have the option to face only bosses by clicking the "Boss Rush Mode" button. This will disable enemy base HP customization and boss frequency, as well as resetting your Fame bonus multiplier. You will still have the option to adjust HP bonuses for bosses or choose to restore Stamina after each encounter.
The Beach, a 4-star area, has been implemented and already features Jackie, a new dangerous girl that replaces Emilie at the new location.
Also, Isabel has been alone in the Jungle for a while now, so CutieLavender has been added as an alternative boss, you'll be able to find her instead of Isabel.
Some other small additions have been implemented: You will now see the amount of enemy's resistance regeneration right at the battle dialogue; A new modifier for the Arena has been added, new bad endings, new achievements and a few other things.
This week I will be playtesting to fix a couple of bugs and making some balance adjustments. Which means v1.15 will be released early next month: September 2nd.

Hey Wolf, what would you like to see added from HC1? Tbh, I'm not really sure if I'm in favor of implementing things 1:1 from HC1 since if someone wants to experience a specific event or enemy they can still play HC1 on Milovana's website.

I agree that the game might be getting too overwhelming with all that stuff. However, I do have to finish off a few things first, like the tavern rework. I hope you understand.

2024-08-30 12:27:29 +0000 UTCIf this is too much I completely understand but I do agree that much of the content from HC1 should have already been implemented by now even if it means some of your builds are just adding HC1 content to HC2. I think that alone would make many of the areas seem more explorable.

2024-08-30 01:54:02 +0000 UTCI really appreciate your open-mindedness! I understand that there are a lot of factors involved in developing a game, many of which I will probably never understand. But it’s encouraging that you will take some of what I said into consideration! My ultimate goal was to provide a different perspective for you. I’d imagine tackling a project like this solo can lead to some creative roadblocks at times. I can see the potential for this game. When I first found it on milovana, I became immediately addicted. So I really want to see it reach its full potential. I think that hitting a “point of no return” is a double-edged sword. While it can certainly be frustrating, I think it also makes the game more challenging. It requires thought and planning to ensure I don’t hit a “point of no return”. Although I don’t think HC2 should have anything game-ending that’s out of the players control. I agree that the dreams shouldn’t be punishing! But I also think that there is a certain level of excitement in watching your hero become more and more corrupt. Personally, after beating the game, one of my favorite things to do was just become as corrupted as possible. It becomes a whole new game at that point, and it’s really fun for me. Considering this is an RPG game, I’m really excited to see how immersive you can make it. I think random encounters are one of the best ways to make the game come to life. They make the game far more exciting. I remember the Amazon women being one of my favorites from HC1. Even when they ended the game before I wanted, I still really enjoyed them because they made the game exciting. While I do think that things like the Arena are a fantastic addition, I think the community would benefit greatly from having the core foundations of the game expanded. Since implementing new mechanics and encounters takes significantly more time, I hope you’ll consider postponing some of them and instead, build upon the fantastic foundation you’ve already laid. I think one of the reasons people love the tavern so much is because you get to see random girls, without much risk. I mean, I can’t really think of any other reason why they would like it so much. So I think keeping that principle in mind, we want to see more girls, will help in appeasing the entire fan base. If you did a poll asking what people would prefer, 10 new girls distributed throughout the game, or 2 new girls implemented in a brand new section…nearly everyone would choose 10 new girls. Everything that is added to Hero Corruption is a request made by players at some point in development: Techniques, Quests, the Arena, the new Boss Rush mode, were requests made by supporters/fans just like you; even battle complexity: There was a poll done in 2021 in which 82% of players responded that they wanted more complex encounters. In fact, it would be much, MUCH easier and faster for me to reuse the encounter code and just replace the girls' images. That being said, maybe you're right, a lot of time has passed since the beginning of HC and maybe the audience has changed, I think it might be time to review some concepts. About your suggestions, many of them have already been made before, especially the one about adding more pictures to the shop, this is at the end of the pipeline and should be released soon. Another thing that has been highly requested is a Tavern rework, players want more interaction in side-jobs, which results in more complexity, and this goes against our previous idea of simplifying things. So as you can see, it's really hard to please everyone, HC2 has a very large audience now and different people want different things. One thing I'm totally against now and shouldn't change in the future is adding features that make a run snowball out of control. I got a lot of criticism in HC1 because once your hero had a certain amount of corruption/addiction, it was impossible to comeback as everything in the game turned against him: the Club, the church event, dreams, etc... Now, I'm not saying these things can't be added, they can, but they need to be less punishing. I really liked your idea of dreams progressing as the hero becomes corrupted, but it would have to be just a visual thing, without adding more addiction or increasing lust upon waking up. Thanks again for the insights Aaron, I really appreciate the reality check. I don't think I'll be able to add these things to the next update, and as I've said, there are already other requests in the queue, but I'll do my best to develop this as soon as possible. I have barely played the last few releases because there’s hardly any new content that it doesn’t even feel worth it. I do not understand why you continue to add more and more new mechanics, they add very little to the game experience. In fact, I think they just over complicate the game. The best feature you’ve added was using number keys to navigate and the upgrade tree. But pretty much everything else is irrelevant. It’s as if instead of adding content, you just add different mechanics that affect Lust or Health. Those things don’t increase my enjoyment of the game! I don’t even notice them! It’s actually made the game feel very complicated. We do not need a new encounter style with every new enemy you release. There should be a set number of encounter styles that are re-used with multiple enemies. Adding a new one for each enemy is just a waste of time. I can confidently say I could not care less about “Arena Modifiers” or anything else that’s now been added. GIVE US MORE CONTENT!!! It’s been over a year and you’ve hardly added to the actual story. You have this great new coding platform which has so much more potential, but the game build is moving at a snails pace because you keep focusing on MECHANICS! Okay, rant over. And, there’s no point in criticizing if I don’t make any suggestions, so here are some ideas you can use that will make the game come to life, because it feels so lifeless right now! I understand you want the game to have depth and to be immersive, but adding mechanics is not the way to do it. These game features will add SO much life and depth and make the game very immersive. ————————————— CORRUPTION INFLUENCES WHAT GIRLS YOU ENCOUNTER ————————————— It’s pretty self explanatory. When your corruption is higher, you start having more encounters, specifically when traveling or dreaming. This will add difficulty, but also excitement. ————————————— Dreams - The more corrupt the Hero is, the more extreme the dreams get. For example, Anal Addiction will start with the simple ass pictures, but as the Hero becomes more corrupt, they’ll turn into girls spreading their ass, fingering their ass, full on anal, anal gaping etc. ————————————— Traveling/City - If the hero is too corrupt, he will have a hard time doing things like using the Forge, going to the church, using the shop etc. When going to the shop, if the corruption is too high, there should be girls in the shop who try to steal your money by seducing you. In the church, there could be a corrupt Nun who adds to your corruption by seducing you. When sleeping at the tavern, a woman could break into your room and seduce you to steal your money or potions. ————————————— ————————————— ADD GRAPHICS FOR WEAPONS/EQUIPMENT ————————————— This isn’t essential, but will add to the experience. ————————————— ————————————— ADD PICTURES TO THE SHOP ————————————— Pictures are the greatest reward in this game. It’s why we play it. There should be purchasable photos from the shop. These could be of current enemies, or they could be entirely new girls. ————————————— ————————————— GAME END MECHANIC FOR TOO HIGH CORRUPTION ————————————— If the hero’s corruption gets too high (which would only happen if the player does this intentionally), the game will end. Perhaps a group of women finds him and makes him their slave. ————————————— ————————————— FINAL REMARKS ————————————— A core mechanic of the game should be corruption influencing what happens. As the hero becomes more corrupt, there should be more women trying to seduce him. The women should become more and more intense as his corruption increases. At a certain point of corruption, the hero should be able to masturbate during the day. Flash images onto the screen during the masturbation of different enemies, girls, thoughts etc. The hero is so corrupt and perverse that he can get off on his thoughts alone. ————————————— I hope I’ve given you enough ideas for now. Please take this into consideration for the release in October. I want to continue supporting you!
