Kifflom! This is Valegor! And, yes, I continue to work on my novel. Why am I saying this? Because there are so many interesting projects that, as a result, were never completed. Why am I talking about that? Answers below.
I will be brief. Miraculous Stories is my first game development experience. Moreover, this is my first programming experience in general. So initially I was just curious where it all would lead me. Of course, I understood that my first novel could not become a big hit, but I also hoped that it would find its players. In general, the main motivation for me was that I had not played games based in the Ladybug universe before. I mean, yes, there is Something Miraculous, but it cannot fill the entire niche. I was thinking like this - if the market can't give me what I'm looking for, then why not try to create it myself? To my surprise, many creators of 18+ games and not only were guided by approximately the same principles.
And of course I wanted to make money. Otherwise you wouldn't be reading this post on Patreon. With your funds, I'm going to take over the world! How? Do not know yet. But I'm thinking about it. I need buy new laptop ( because current one is dying every time I'm trying to draw something ), finally pay BadCuteOnion for his mini games and spanish translation, also my chair is broken so my back is in terrible condition. And war, yeah. I'm kinda complaining about everything, but the goal is to say "thanks" to my Patrons. Without your pledges it would be much harder to develop game. Thank you, my Patrons!
Let's get back to the game. From the very beginning, I conceived it not as a huge project with a bunch of different content (like in Summertime Saga and other mastadons of the genre), but as something small but interesting. A game that you can play in the evening, have fun and safely forget about it. Even now, I stick to this concept and try to release updates as often as possible. Of course, doing something by yourself is always longer, but I can say with confidence that my vision will be implemented into the project as accurately as possible.
To the point. I continue development and I'm ready to say that the next small update will be released next month. I used to talk about a bi-monthly update schedule, but I feel like I can get it a little faster this time around. In the long term, I want to finish the novel this year. And as soon as possible. After that, I'm going to move on to developing other projects. Someday I will collect all my concepts in one post and tell you more about them. Right now I'm focused on Ladybug. Sorry if this post seemed insipid to you, I'm just trying to remind you that I'm alive (which is important in my case).
Well, a little vote. In the next closed post for patrons, you can vote FOR or AGAINST adding Chloe to the game. More info in the same post.
This is it. See ya!
