Hunter Amongst Heroes Draft - Heroes Training
Added 2021-01-28 22:32:35 +0000 UTCYeah, here is your another dose. This time it is about Garou training the heroes hehe.
Another day…
Within the mountains, the woods Garou resides graced by the gentle breeze of the Sunday morning wind rustling the green, Garou looked upon the heroes displayed before him with his two pets snuggling up his ankles with love.
A line of familiar faces were arrayed before Garou. And since they all volunteered for this, they knew exactly what they signed up for. About a dozen Heroes were stood there, waiting Garou’s approval, or disapproval.
Starting at the furthest end there was Crimson Riot, Midnight, Ryukyu, Snipe, Mt. Lady, Eraserhead, Gang Orca, Snipe, Vlad King and even Endeavour. It was quite the assortment of big named Heroes. And most of them had encounters and experience with Garou in the past. Some of them not entirely positive experiences...
“Well… this is quite an assortment.” Garou commented as Skoll and Hati yipped, before running between Garou and the heroes. The two pups sat on their hind legs, panting adorably with their tails wagging behind their backs, caught the heroes’ attention.
A few gazes were sent the way of the two small wolves. A few of the Heroes were even thinking ‘Where did he get two wolves? Aren’t wolves extinct in Japan?’. However, since most of them had experience with Garou, they knew to expect the impossible.
“Before I start. Let me introduce Skoll and Hati. The shrimp begged me to pick them up, so I did. I needed some guard dogs in the end nonetheless.” Garou introduced as the two wolves yipped with a hint of pride.
“They’re pretty cute!”
Mt. Lady couldn’t help but stare at how adorable the two small animals were. Despite the fact that they were both clearly wild animals, they were extremely cute. A few of the other Heroes even agreed with her.
*Shriiiii*
With a whistle from Garou, the two wolves started to grow… and grow… and grow… until they were even bigger than Mt Lady’s full size, their faces now menacing and fierce, yet still panting like the puppies they are.
All Heroes present were taken aback by the sudden change in size. They were well aware of gigantification Quirks, but when applied to a wolf, it created a truly terrifying image. The two giant predators towered over all of them, casting two huge shadows.
“A word of warning, you will play with them when I see fit.” Garou wickedly smiles. The wolves barked in response, which sounded more like a dragon’s roar instead. The earth shook as the bark caused most of the Heroes to stumble.
Despite the wavering Heroes, Garou remained perfectly still as the ground trembled. The hot breath of the giant wolves washed over the grouping of Heroes, causing most of them to grimace.
“Here is the hierarchy. This is you.”
Garou pointed at them.
“This is the dirt.”
Garou pointed at the ground.
“These are the worms eating the dirt.”
Garou pointed at the worms poking from the grass.
“This is everything else.”
Garou waved his arms gesturing to the woods.
“This is Skoll and Hati. Then comes your seniors. And then God. Then me. The order is from lowest to highest. Remember that, maggots.”
All of the Heroes grimaced further. From the way Garou was speaking, he really didn’t expect much from any of them. Most of them had prior history with Garou, and even they were shocked with how low they were held.
“In case you're wondering why I said this… I find it fun.” Garou’s smile grew even wider.
Now that sounded like something Garou would say. His strange, warped sense of humour was almost always at the expense of someone else. A few of the Heroes distinctly remembers moments when they were the targets of Garou’s ‘jokes’.
“And you haven't earned my recognition.”
Garou’s face turned serious.
“Tell me, why are you here? Why are all of you willing to put yourself under a senior of UA who had not even graduated and sent most of your ilk to the hospital with broken pride?” Garou asked, his tone a little mocking.
Silence fell over the line of Heroes as they all thought of their own respective reasons for volunteering. Raising one hand, the familiar voice of Endeavour broke the silence first, much to everyone else’s surprise.
“...No person trained by you could be considered merely a ‘student’. I have no shame being trained by anyone, as long as they’ve been instilled with the power of the Hero Hunter.”
The shocking amount of acceptance in his words took a few of the other Heroes back. Had the Flame Hero really changed that much since his ‘trial’?.
“Hoh?” Garou’s voice appeared next to Endeavour much to his shock. While at the same time, he is no longer sitting atop of the boulder.
“I've never taught you to abandon your pride. Have you become shameless?” Garou asked, his voice deep and inquisitive, with a lace of danger to it.
Slowly, Endeavour’s head turned to face Garou. His body subconsciously ached as he stared down at the silver-haired hunter.
“No I have not. But your ‘test’ showed me the difference between pride and arrogance.”
“I see. Good answer.” Garou was no longer there.
“Now, to the next step.” Garou’s voice resounded from the sky this time.
Hearing the suddenly distant voice, all of the heads of the Heroes turned to the apparent source. Atop one of the two giant wolves, Garou now sat casually cross-legged.
“As for the rest. Why are you here? Depending on your answer, I might accept you. Or I will feed you to the wolves.”
The rest of the volunteering Heroes once again thought of their own reasons. And how they could possibly word it to Garou in a way he would accept. Stepping forwards out of the line, Ryukyu stared up at the distant seated figure of Garou.
“...I have now been defeated twice by enemies I could not overcome. Both times I have failed to protect the public and my fellow Heroes. And I cannot express my gratitude for you saving my life both times. But I cannot rely on you to show up and save the day. I must learn to overcome such opponents.”
She clenched one fist in front of her chest, a sign of her determination.
“You feel your worth as a hero dwindling. I see,” Garou summarized.
“So you came here to obtain a power your Quirk would not allow. Very well. You will not be wolf food,” Garou judged.
Nodding once, a smile appeared on Ryukyu’s face as she stepped back into the line. The remaining Heroes all began worrying that their own reasons may not be sufficient. No one wanted to end up in the belly of those two giant predators. Stepping forwards, Snipe broke the silence. He grimaced under his mask, expecting mockery from his ‘student’.
“... My Quirk allows me to be quite effective at long range. However, when it comes to close range, I am rather lacking. I was hoping to… improve that. And plus, I do need to check in on my students every so often.”
“Even though you are putting yourself under my mercy? There is a looong list of things I wanted to pay you back for,” Garou asked with a very expectant tone.
Snipe seemed to wilt as he began to regret all of the mocking and prodding at Garou’s expense. He knew that one day his actions would come back to bite him, but he had never thought that it would go like this.
“Never mind. I'll take you. Mostly for revenge. You cannot refuse me.” Garou pointed at Snipe with his ultimatum.
Under his mask, Snipe’s face twisted with worry. Silently, he stepped back in line, dreading what Garou’s punishments may be.
“Next. Step up, wolf chow.” Garou called out to the rest of the heroes… no, the wolf food.
Next, the familiar form of Eraserhead stepped forth, staring at Garou. Half of his face was covered by his usual scarf.
“I wish to experience your own style of teaching. I have yet to see your methods. Once I experience your training, I could use it to help my own students. Helping to bolster the next generation of Heroes.”
“One of my methods is hiding from Skoll and Hati as they hunt you all like rabbits,” Garou interjected.
Aizawa stared up at Garou. Absentmindedly, he wondered if he could use his Erasure on the two giant wolves…
“I was talking about the other methods. I don’t believe that having my students flee for their lives will be quite as productive.”
“They are as equally terrifying and daunting,” Garou said otherwise.
Eraserhead continued staring at the seated Garou, unmoving.
“... Then so be it.”
He was determined to at least handle some of Garou’s training.
“Very well. I accept you as my student. Next.” Garou called out to the next hero.
As Eraserhead stepped back into the line, Mt Lady seemed to jump forwards. She looked up at Garou, preparing herself.
“...I’m not really able to use my Quirk all the time. Using it indoors might create too much damage. I feel limited, as a Hero. I need to find a way to remove these limits.”
“Hmm…” Garou slightly tilted his head left.
“I see. You wish to improve. Very well, I accept. But you will walk Skoll and Hati whenever I wish.”
Seeing the two giant wolves turn their gazes to her, she shivered under their predatory eyes. Nodding quickly in agreement, she moved backwards, attempting to get out of the sight of the giant animals. As she stood back in the line, she realised that she’d just become a literal overgrown dog walker.
Now, there were only a few Heroes left. Gang Orca, Midnight, Crimson Riot and Vlad King. Seeing their colleagues find acceptance and success had ignited a spark of hope in their hearts. From the furthest end of the line, Crimson Riot took one large step forwards. He did not flinch under the glare of the two pets of Garou’s. Staring up at Garou, he made his own case.
“Much like Ryukyu, I too was defeated by an opponent I could not defeat. However, I still feel like there is more I can do. I can still attempt to protect people.”
“You…” Garou’s voice took a dangerous tone.
“My first disciple speaks much of you.”
Cocking his head in confusion, Crimson Riot furrowed his brow. He had not yet met Garou’s first disciple.
“He spoke much of your failure in rescuing his parents.”
Suddenly, the memories flooded back to him as his eyes widened. Of course. It had to be that. His failure. Crimson Riot’s head sunk to the ground, as he stared at the ground. The regret and shame burned fiercely in his chest.
“I…”
“I will not accept you. Your presence alone stokes my disciple’s hate. Until his demons are resolved, when he learns to forgive, you are banned from here.” Garou stated his ultimatum.
Raising his head, Crimson Riot nodded once in acceptance. This was only part of his punishment for his past failure. Stepping back into the line, his face did not betray the swirling emotions within.
With only Gang Orca, Vlad King and Midnight left, the one with the most Garou experience stepped forwards. The familiar form of Midnight was now the focus of the large predator that Garou had casually seated himself on. Preparing herself, she broke the silence.
“...Right now, all I can really do is detain criminals and Villains with my Quirk. Without it, I don’t really have anything I can do. If… If I ever encounter a monster, I do not believe my Quirk would be enough. I need to be more.”
“You wish to become something more than your Quirk allows?” Garou summarized.
Hearing the voice of Garou echo down from the back of the wolf, Midnight nodded in agreement. Much like Mt Lady, she felt limited, although not in the same ways.
“Your Quirk is knockout pheromones I take it? Very well. You are accepted. Who is next?” Garou asked for the next person to step up.
Now there were only two Heroes left. And both of them were the ones with the least experience with the Hero Hunter. Neither of them felt entirely confident in their chances. But they still had to give it a try. Vlad King was the one out of the two that stepped forwards.
“I feel like the most important thing about this training is to allow the younger generations to reach their goals.”
“You calling me old? I’ll kill you.”
A few of the other Heroes smiled at seeing this. Even Endeavour allowed a small smile onto his face. Quickly, Vlad King rose both of his hands in a gesture of surrender.
“I apologise. It did not come out correctly. But surely you can see the value of teaching the younger generations of your methods. It would strengthen their resolve.”
“You talking about the other class? 1-B, right?” Garou asked remembering them. Their Quirks were not much to look at, but their teamwork and effort surpassed those of class 1-A.
Nodding, Vlad King allowed a small smile to make its way onto his face at the mention of his class.
“You did ‘test’ them yourself.”
“...fine. You're in. But I'll still kill you.” Garou accepted, but not without grave conditions.
Nodding in acceptance, he stepped back in line. All eyes were now on the only Hero left. Gang Orca. Taking a deep breath, the Orca Hero stepped forwards. Instantly, both of the wolves stared at him worryingly. He hoped that it wasn’t because he smelled like fish…
“...Garou. We may not have had many encounters with each other, but after seeing the results from one of your disciples on the news, only a fool would dismiss the potential of your training. I am here to politely ask for your acceptance.”
Immediately, Garou appeared in front of Orca. In his monster form. An unimaginable level of fear encompassed the area, startling every hero present. The birds flew from the trees, animals fled from the grass, and the two giant wolves whimpered as they rested their snouts on the floor and covered their eyes with their paws.
“How willing are you in embracing hell?” Garou asked Orca as he stared upwards right into his eyes.
Despite his whale-esque skin, he could almost certainly feel a shiver pass through him as Garou’s glare burned into his head. Taking a moment to compose himself, he met Garou’s monstrous gaze.
“...If that is what is required of me, then all you need to do is ask.”
*Shriiiii*
With a whistle from Garou’s mouth, the two wolves perked their ears as they uncovered their eyes.
“Three minutes. The wolves will hunt you for three minutes. Survive and then I will accept you.” Garou gave his ultimatum as he disappeared, reappearing atop of Skoll this time in his human form.
Gang Orca now noticed the more violent glares from the two pets of Garou. They had both assumed predatory positions, directed at him. One of them breathing icy air, while the other huffed small gouts of white fire.
“You have a thirty second head start. Start running.”
Without pausing, he whirled around and began running with all of his power. He was glad that they had all come in their Hero costumes. That meant he had his bottle of water to counteract the eventual drying. And judging by the fire coming from one of the wolves, he would need it.
“...” Looking up to Garou, the heroes caught the sight of him smiling. Snipe knew what that smile meant.
“That’s pretty cruel of you, Garou.”
Snipe shook his head in disapproval. There were two possibilities. That Garou had just bluffed and tricked Gang Orca into running for no reason, or that he was actually going to chase him with two giant wolves that he couldn’t possibly outrun. Either way, it was obviously one of his jokes.
“Twenty nine…” Garou counted. He then stood up and walked to Skoll’s back before they raised their heads.
*Shrrriiiii*
*HOWLLLLLLL*
After Garou’s whistle, the two wolves howled into the air, white fire and pale ice rising to the heavens as the earth trembled before their mighty voice.
Hearing the deafening howls from the wolves, all Heroes present couldn’t help but feel immense amounts of pity towards Gang Orca. There was absolutely no way he could outrun both of the predators.
One minute later…
Gang Orca hung from Skoll’s mouth, who grabbed him by the scruff of his suit. The whale hero looked like he was about to cry as he dangled from the now wagging Skoll, who was being scratched behind his ear by Garou.
All Heroes could only stare at their fellow Hero as he hung from the jaws of the mighty beast. To be honest, they were surprised he had lasted a minute. They were expecting the two wolves to reappear a few seconds after they’d left.
“Ahhh, that was refreshing. Alright, you're in.” Garou said as he continued scratching Skoll’s ear. Skoll started thumping his left hind leg on to the ground in reflex, enjoying the love received.
Gang Orca seemed to sag even further down. He was panting heavily, a sign of his attempt. Even though he had been trying, he had felt like a small animal that both of the two predators- no wait. Three predators, including the one seated on the blue one’s back.
The rest of the group looked up at Garou with a mix of different looks. Some of disapproval, some of mild amusement. They would all have to learn to expect these kinds of things.
“I feel like I should do the same with the others for my amusement.” Garou uttered loud enough for the heroes to hear.
Hearing Garou’s utterance, every Hero tensed up. Even Snipe, who was still trying to figure out whether this was one of Garou’s ‘jokes’. Endeavour’s face was unreadable, but the change in his position clearly gave away his preparedness. A few of the other Heroes were not so confident in their own abilities. Midnight was clearly rather concerned, being far less capable to outrun the three would-be predators than her colleagues.
“Anyways, for those who made it in. Welcome aboard to the fires of hell.” Garou welcomed with a wicked smile.
“Truthfully, I never prepared how I should welcome you. I was either thinking to let the wolves use you all as chew toys or to help with their exercise to get a glimpse of what awaits.” Garou added.
Mt Lady raised one hand, glancing between the two wolves and Garou.
“I could try to take one of them for a walk?”
It was the only suggestion that she could think of that didn’t involve her becoming a chew toy for those scary pets.
“Good idea. Sic her.” Garou pointed at Mt Lady as the two wolves turned their focus on her.
Widening her eyes, Mt Lady stared at Garou with a mix of shock and outrage. As she turned to run away, she grew to her maximum size while cursing Garou under her breath. Her footsteps shook the earth, but she could still hear the larger wolves chasing her.
“Be sure to bite her behind.” She could hear Garou’s voice not far behind her.
The rest of the Heroes were already quite a distance away due to their large strides. As she ran, she turned her head around in the direction of Garou’s voice. After hearing Garou’s ‘command’ she could only stare at the tiny figure of Garou, stunned.
The rest of the Heroes watched them all run off, thankful that it wasn’t them that ended up the target of those jaws. They did all feel immense amounts of pity towards Mt Lady.
The distance between Mt Lady and the two wolves chasing her hadn’t seemed to increase or decrease. Occasionally turning her head, she could clearly see the pursuers were holding back.
“Run faster woman. They need their exercise.” Garou ordered.
As she increased her running speed, Yu threw her head back. The sound of her heavy footfalls increased in pace as she ran like her life depended on it. Which, knowing Garou, may well be the case.
“It’s only my first daaaaaay!!!”
She shouted out as she ran, despairing. If this was what Garou’s ‘training’ was to be, then she’d run herself to death before long.
“The first day is the worst day.” Garou called back.
Mt Lady did not respond. She was too busy panting heavily as she kept running. With their giant strides, both she and her pursuers had to have covered quite a tremendous distance. Trees were scattered around the wild environment, reaching about to her knees. The more she ran, the more she regretted making her suggestion of ‘walking’ Garou’s pets.
“Haaahh… show some..haaah..mercy…”
Mt Lady could feel her pace beginning to slow. She couldn’t keep this up forever. She would run out of steam before long.
“No mercy for newbies. Keep running. If you drop, I’ll make them eat you,” Garou threatened.
Sweat began to trickle down her forehead, hitting the ground beneath her. Surely she couldn’t have been running for that long. And maybe Garou was joking about eating her…
Reaching the limits of her physical endurance, she tripped over a knee-high tree, toppling onto the ground. She merely lay there, panting heavily. She could hear the pursuers nearing her.
The wolves caught up, now staring down at the giant woman, saliva dripping from their maws.
“Now… eat her.” Garou ordered as the two slowly opened their mouths.
Rolling over to face her pursuers, she curled up into a ball and closed her eyes. She whimpered slightly as she accepted her gruesome fate of becoming dog food for giant wolves.
*lick*
However, instead of sharp fangs, she felt something wet and sticky licking her cheeks. Followed by the panting of a dog wanting to play.
Opening her eyes tentatively, Yu came face to face with the visage of one of the two wolves, now towering over her. It was looking down at her expectantly, tongue lolling from one side of its mouth.
“...Eh?”
“What? They’re ‘eating’ you.” Garou smirked as Skoll started licking the giant heroine, slobbering her with wet love.
Sighing heavily, Yu relaxed. Her gigantic form splayed out on the wild environment. As the giant animal continued licking her, she began to laugh the moment it began to tickle.
“Ahaha..wait..calm down! Ahahaha!”
It got worse when Hati joined in on the licking.
She was lucky that there was no one else around to see this. It was quite embarrassing for her, as she lay there being ferociously licked by the two pets of Garou.
“Keep licking her.” Garou smirked as he watched the warm scene, as Mt Lady continued laughing from receiving their love, her laughter reaching even the heroes back in the glade.
A few minutes later…
The giant form of Mt Lady appeared in the view of the other Heroes, followed closely by the two wolves. Mt Lady seemed to be covered in drool in their eyes.
The Heroes all watched her slowly shrink back down to normal size. Approaching the other Heroes, she collapsed forwards onto the grass. As she lay face down, her muffled voice could be heard.
“...Garou, that was pretty cruel… tormenting me like that…”
Her voice was just loud enough for the Heroes around her to hear. Knowing Garou’s senses, he almost certainly heard it as well, despite being so far away.
The rest of the Heroes all turned to Garou. After hearing Mt Lady’s laughter, they were all glad that he hadn’t actually commanded the wolves to eat her. Now that they were back, did that mean it was their turn?
“Now, I have two options for you. One, I could hammer the essence of combat into your brains through your broken bodies. Or two, deal with Skoll and Hati and run for your lives. Your choice.” Garou offered.
As all of the Heroes deliberated the two options, the groaning form of Mt Lady drew their attention. Her muffled voice could still be heard, despite lying face down.
“Auugh… just take the beating…”
Turning their gaze to Garou, the Heroes all considered the options. Either they end up like Mt Lady, groaning in pain and exertion. Or they fight Garou and end up groaning in pain and exertion. Either way, they would no doubt be experiencing a fair amount of pain. Aizawa suddenly spoke up from amidst the crowd.
“Will we all be facing you at once?”
The memory of his ‘test’ was still fresh in Endeavour’s mind as he remembered the level of pain he went through.
“Of course I will. I can take on the whole world and I still will come out on top in the end.” Garou smiled as he dropped down from Skoll as he landed on the floor. His hands then sparked to life, covered in black and white incandescent flames out of nowhere, surprising the heroes before him.
None of them had ever seen this before. Not even Snipe knew what it was. They all stared at the flickering flames engulfing Garou’s hands with varying looks of confusion and interest. Endeavour seemed to be the most taken back with Garou suddenly possessing similar fire powers to himself. Pointing her hand at the flames, Midnight’s reaction mirrored everyone else’s.
“What… is that?”
“A technique that surpasses Quirks.” Garou smirked.
“It can be taught.”
“I thought you already had ‘a power that surpasses Quirks’ in the form of your martial arts?”
Eraserhead narrowed his eyes as he continued to stare at the flame. It seemed so… ethereal. Like it wasn’t actually there.
“I explained the concept to my friends already. They can fill you in once you meet them.” Garou replied as he started walking towards them.
“Be warned. It is as dangerous as it looks.” Garou promised.
Seeing him approach, the group of Heroes all tensed up, assuming their respective stances. Mt Lady raised her head as she tiredly observed everything from on the ground. The more experienced ‘Garou combatants’ knew to not open with their Quirks. And luckily, most of the Heroes present had ample combat experience when it came to the Hero Hunter. The tension in the air racketed up as they all waited for Garou to assume his monstrous form.
“There will be no fear this time. Only pain.” Garou stated. From behind Endeavour.
Hearing the voice move so suddenly, the Heroes all whipped around to face Garou. Endeavour did so too, not seeming shocked.
Another two minutes later…
“Well, what have you all learned this time?” Garou asked, petting the puppy forms of Skoll and Hati as they yipped in approval.
The beaten forms of all of the Heroes lay on the ground, all panting heavily. Mt Lady continue watching from her position on the ground, unbeaten yet still slobbered.
The whole group of Heroes had coordinated excellently together. But that hadn’t helped them. Even their most experienced ‘Garou combatants’ had failed to take him down. Even with the use of their Quirks had failed. The usual streams of fire, attempted immobilization via blood, knocking out using pheromones. All had failed. To be honest, most of them hadn’t even expected to land a hit. And they hadn’t.
“Auuggh… that despite being half our age, you can still put us all to the ground?”
Snipe attempted to push himself from the ground, snarking as he did so. His body was wracked with pain.
“None of you had the essence of combat in you… well, almost.” Garou aimed his eyes onto the beaten form of Eraserhead.
“You have quite a… forceful way of teaching.”
Aizawa raised his head, a few bruises across his face. He too attempted to rise up from the dirt, propping himself up with his arms.
“I am always this strict. Ask my disciples if you want to know how strict,” Garou roughly replied.
Slowly, more of the Heroes began to rise up from the ground, aching as they did so. Clutching his arm, Vlad King glanced over in the direction of his fellow downed Heroes.
“Maybe next time we should take the wolves instead…”
A few of the other Heroes nodded in agreement. They had been perhaps a little too rash. And they’d paid for it with pain.
“After this, I will put you to work building my dojo.” Garou smirked.
“Oh? So you have chosen to make your dojo?”
Like the others, Ryukyu was rising from the ground, her aching body fighting her every step of the way. Her surprised, yet intrigued reaction also mirrored that of some other Heroes. A few, like Endeavour and Eraserhead, had been waiting for him to finally make his own dojo. To the rest however, it came as a shock.
“Would you like to see?”
Ten minutes later….
“Grab some tools and start climbing.” Garou ordered as the pups yipped behind him with joy before the wolves ran towards the stairs leading to the top first.
The still-aching Heroes glanced between the massive spire of stairs and the enormous pile of tools. The mere sight of the flight of stairs was more than enough to make their pain ache even more. The height of it was so high that it could scrape the heavens themselves.
“...Did you pick the location specifically for this reason?”
Snipe turned to Garou, despair evident in his voice. The massive pillar of stairs seemed to climb into the sky and beyond.
“The old fart’s dojo was built atop of a mountain,” Garou shrugged.
“Was your ‘old fart’s’ dojo supposed to be this annoying?” Mt. Lady retorted as she pointed at the small dot atop of the mountain.
“No. I built it even higher than his.” Garou answered.
“You’re a beacon of modesty to us all…”
Snipe mumbled to himself, still staring at the massive pile of tools.
“If you want, you can force Snipe to carry your tools for you.” Garou offered the heroes as his smile bore an evil gleam.
Under his mask, Snipe’s expression of pained despair only grew. He began regretting making fun of Garou so much. Garou would make sure he would suffer. He shivered as he imagined the level of torment heaped on him. The rest of the Heroes all turned to face Snipe, a look of consideration on their faces.
“...are you sure?”
Aizawa turned to Garou, cocking one eyebrow. Inside him, the overwhelming urge to make his fellow Hero carry his burden was very powerful.
“Yep. You are free to do so while I give you all the tour.” Garou nodded, silently urging them to succumb to their dark side.
Chuckling as she did so, Ryukyu walked over to the pile of tools. Stopping in front of it, she glanced back at the rest of the group.
“As much as I would enjoy compounding Snipe’s burden, I know I must carry my share.”
As everyone watched her, she scooped up an armful of tools and supplies. Then, she began to make her way to the stairs. She quickly glanced over at the other Heroes, as if to say ‘what are you waiting for?’. The others were still considering letting Snipe do their work for them.
A moment passed. Then, Endeavour approached the pile of miscellaneous supplies. Lowering his fire so as to not burn them, he did the same as Ryukyu. Walking past the other Heroes, he turned his head to face them.
“I will not let a fellow Hero carry my burden for me.” He declared before heading towards the stone stairs.
Snipe inwardly thanked Endeavour with his soul.
However, Mt Lady stared at Snipe, still considering Garou’s tempting offer.
“...Nah. I think I’ll have you carry my stuff instead. I’m still tired from my run!”
Mt Lady put one hand up to her forehead as if to show off how tired she was. However, the sly smile on her face betrayed her words.
“You traitor!!!” Snipe instantly pointed a trembling finger at Mt Lady as if she committed a grave sin.
Strolling up to Snipe, Eraserhead put one hand on his shoulder, staring into the gunslinger’s mask.
“I have to say, I do thank you for your valiant sacrifice. Offering to carry my share is really very generous.”
“Et tu, Eraser?” Snipe cursed the teacher of 1-A with the bottom of his soul.
As Eraserhead began to walk to the stairs empty handed alongside Mt Lady, Vlad King walked up besides Snipe. Despite feeling sympathetic towards his fellow Hero, he couldn’t help himself from smiling.
“Think of it this way. You’ll finish more of Garou’s punishments sooner. We’re actually doing you a favour.”
“I hope you feel my pain when you see me.” Snipe cursed at his bloody friend.
Vlad King then strolled past the despairing Snipe, joining Mt Lady and Eraserhead. All the gunslinger could do was wait for the remaining Hero’s choices. Only Midnight and Gang Orca remained. Two more potential burdens.
Gang Orca seemed to consider for a moment. Nodding as if to confirm something to himself, he turned to pile of supplies. His voice broke the momentary silence, addressing Garou.
“...You told me to embrace hell, and I accepted.”
“Oh, thank you.” Snipe thanked Orca with apex gratitude.
As Gang Orca left to gather his own load, that just left Midnight. As Midnight stared at Snipe, he could only feel more despondent. A sadistic grin crept across her face as her eyes took a sinister change, causing Snipe to fall deeper into his despair. There was no way that she would let such a chance get away from her. Especially given her personality.
Like the others, Midnight casually strolled past Snipe, grinning sadistically at him the entire time. As she joined the others, it just left Snipe and his ‘student’. Glaring at Garou, Snipe could feel the desire for revenge burning within him.
“...I’ll get you back for this. I swear it.”
“Want me to triple your current burden?” Garou threatened back with a glare of his own.
Grumbling to himself, Snipe said nothing. He dragged himself over to the pile that most of the other Heroes had left. It was still rather large. His body ached as he merely looked at it. Casting his eyes over to the stairs, Snipe could already tell that this was only the beginning of Garou’s ‘revenge’.
The ones who dumped their burdens onto Snipe arrived first with the others not far behind… except Snipe. Since he overburdened while forced to climb the stairs leading up the edge of the plateau. The moment they arrived, they could smell something… cooking. Something delectable and very attractive to their bellies as their mouths watered.
“Hello!” A young, cheerful voice greeting them.
Cooking by the fireplace on the wild stone was the young boy, Ghin, brewing what seem to be a very large hot pot in a pan over the campfire. Beside him was a electric rice cooker, cooking the rice for their meal along with a portable electric bunsen burner cooking some pan-fried food. There was a bowl of kikurage and another bowl of pan fried vegetables already finished, ladened with sweet and sour sauce as the scent reached their noses.
Next to Ghin was the wolves eating dog food out of their respective bowls ravenously.
The tired, hungry Heroes all approached the young boy and the assortment of food.
“Those who carried the tools are allowed to eat! Those who did not must work!” Ghin shouted as he held a hand up to stop the heroes from picking up the empty bowls and utensils set for them.
“What? B-But!”
Mt Lady stared at the food that was all just an arm’s length away. Her stomach grumbled loudly for more calories as she stared at the boy, outraged.
“I thank you for your kindness.” Endeavour said.
Endeavour, Ryukyu and Gang Orca all sat before the boy, each patiently waiting for the food to be served.
“Slackers will be put to work! No exceptions! Now work!” Ghin pouted at her as he begin grabbing a ladle and scooping rice from the rice cooker and dumped it into the empty bowls for the three. And then poured the rice in each bowl with a certain dark brown sauce that gave a very strong, alluring scent that made the Heroes’ mouths water even more. It was as if the choice of food was meant to make them starve.
Vlad King, Eraserhead and Midnight all frowned as they turned away, heading over to the half-built dojo. Mt Lady, however, pouted directly at the young boy. She stood still, staring down at the food. Her little ‘exercise’ with Garou’s pets had drained her of energy.
“What are you still here for? I will sic Skoll and Hati on you if you don't move.” Ghin threatened as the wolves’ perked their ears, raising their heads from the bowls as gazed straight at Mt Lady.
Suddenly feeling the stare of the two wolves on her, Mt Lady seemed to jump into action. She spun around, joining her colleagues as they set to work on the dojo.
“So are you Garou’s ‘first disciple’?”
Ryukyu glanced at the young boy serving their food. His silver hair was quite reminiscent of Garou’s own hair.
“I am his first and number one disciple!” Ghin corrected her as he pointed a finger at the dragoness. Before adding some fried chicken and vegetables and handing her a chopsticks.
“Take out whatever you want from the hotpot. I made it myself!” Ghin said off topic to the heroes.
Taking her bowl, Ryukyu held it under her nose as the rich odour of the various, mixed ingredients seemed to overwhelm her.
“Thank you. It smells delicious.”
“It is meant to torture though,” Ghin smiled.
“Judging by their reactions, it seems to work.”
Ryukyu pointed one finger over at the working Heroes, who were occasionally staring over at the food hungrily. The smell of food was almost enough to pull them over. But the thought of punishment from Garou was enough to keep them working. Mt Lady grumbled to herself as she hammered a nail into a board of wood.
“Their stomachs should roar by-”
*GRuuuuummmble*
“There it is.” Ghin smiled at the music their stomachs are playing.
All four of the Heroes stopped what they were doing as they heard the rumbling noise coming from their stomachs. Slowly, they turned to face Ghin. Mt Lady shouted out from amidst the in-construction dojo.
“How much do we need to do? We’re starving here!”
“Shut up and keep working, slacker!” Ghin shouted back as he threw a spoon at her, “Ow!”
It smacked her square in the forehead, causing a bump to swell to her dismay.
The seated figures of Endeavour, Ryukyu and Gang Orca all allowed themselves to grin slightly, hearing Mt Lady’s outrage.
“...Will you be one of our ‘teachers’?”
Ryukyu turned her head to face the silver-haired boy who was still glaring over at the grumbling Mt Lady.
“I'm your senior! Bow and call me your dark lord and master!” Ghin evilly declared with a hint of adorable innocence.
All three of the Heroes were momentarily unsure if he was actually being serious or not. Perhaps it was one of his ‘jokes’. But if not…
All three of them nodded along with the young boy. Then, they finally began to eat. The hole in their stomachs seemed to fill rapidly as they ate. Being rather high ranking Heroes, the three of them had all been to their fair share of expensive and fancy restaurants. But at the moment, nothing could really compare to the satisfaction from the somewhat simple meal before them.
“I cooked it myself!” The boy proudly declared.
Gang Orca barely pulled himself away from the bowl of food as he raised his head to Garou’s first disciple.
“You are… quite talented. I feel like I should pay you for this, it’s of such quality.”
“Pay me with a greatest japanese katana you can find.” Ghin demanded.
The Orca Hero stared at Ghin for a moment, clearly taken aback and confused by the sudden demand from the boy. Both Endeavour and Ryukyu were intrigued as to what such a young boy would do with a katana. Even if he was Garou’s disciple.
“...Why?”
“It's for Aniki! I've been having trouble finding one… and the girl from Class 1-A kept refusing to make me one.” Ghin pouted.
Ryukyu stared at Ghin, a small smile on her face. The young boy was indeed quite a spitfire. She could see why Garou would train him.
“Does he need one? He seems like he doesn’t need any kind of weapon.”
“I want to see what he could do with a weapon. No one will stop my quest to obtain a katana.” Ghin declared.
All three of the Heroes was already taken aback by the boy’s spirit. It was like they were looking at a smaller, slightly more aggressive Garou.
“...Wouldn’t a weapon actually slow him down? Garou doesn’t kill.”
Gang Orca was glad that he had not been the target of one of Garou’s ‘hunts.’ Even if he didn’t kill.
“He kills monsters though.” Ghin corrected.
All three of the Heroes went silent at the mention of monsters. Memories flashed through Ryukyu’s mind as she was swiftly reminded of her loss against the orange monster. Endeavour grimaced. He too was aware of the ever-growing threat of monsters. More were appearing by the day. With those that Garou had trained, they were barely keeping them at bay. A grim atmosphere settled in around them, the sound of distant hammering and drilling coming from the dojo.
“Anyways… any of you can get me a katana? A perfect one?” Ghin asked them.
Sharing a glance, all three Heroes considered whether they should actually give Garou a weapon. His methods had been ‘relaxing,’ so to speak. Giving him access to a sword may exacerbate some problems.
“...Perhaps if I put in a request, I could have one delivered…”
Endeavour stroked his fiery facial hair, a thoughtful look on his face. He never thought he’d have to order a sword for Garou of all people.
“Is the sword reliable and can cut through seemingly anything?” Ghin asked.
“...I don’t know. I would need to ask the seller. Although, I doubt a sword could take any kind of punishment from Garou.”
With Garou’s extreme strength, it was undividedly possible for the blade to snap like a dry, brittle twig the first time he would attempt to use it.
“You better make it strong or else I will be angry.” Ghin frowned at Endeavour as the flame hero picked a slice of well-cooked sukiyaki from the hotpot.
Turning back to Ghin, Endeavour merely nodded once in compliance. Inevitably, there would be somewhere that would be able to make a sword capable of fulfilling a fraction of Garou’s requirements.
“Can we eat now?!” The voice of Mt Lady called out from the workplace.
Turning their heads, the heroes and Ghin looked at Mt Lady, seeing her making a face of desperation and need judging by the sweat and quivering lips.
“.............no.” Ghin shook his head as he gave himself a bowl of food.
“Pleeeeease?”
Mt Lady began to desperately plead to Ghin, as her hunger was only increasing. Seeing the other three Heroes eating further fed her and her fellows’ torment.
“This is punishment for slackers. We don't accept slackers here.” Ghin shouted back at Mt Lady.
*Ughhhhhh*
Then came the groan of what seemed to be a zombie.
Turning to the source of the pained groan, all of the Heroes could see Snipe emerging from the flight of stairs carrying a mountain of supplies like a overworked pack mule. He seemed to be dragging himself forwards, groaning and mumbling the whole time. The three seated Heroes could only feel sympathy and pity towards the gunslinger.
“Ahhh, I feel so relaxed.” The voice of Garou emerged next to the three heroes. Turning their heads, they saw Garou sitting beside them grabbing a bowl for himself.
The sound of a loud crash drew everyone’s attention, as Snipe heaved the mountain of supplies to one side into a pile. He then unceremoniously collapsed face first into the ground.
“Uuuuuggghhh…”
“Get to work, packmule.” Garou ordered Snipe as he pointed at the construction site, sparing no mercy for his ‘homeroom teacher’.
Snipe’s arms moved like they were moving through pitch. Slowly, they began to push his limp, exhausted body up off the ground. He barely made it a few inches before collapsing back into the ground.
“Rest… please… I’ll… ugh… die at this rate…”
“Ehhhh…” Garou started considering his plea.
“You have ten seconds.” He smirked.
“All my jokes… aughh… I hope… you know they were in good spirit.”
Snipe attempted to apologize to the figure of Garou, who towered over him. He felt like a wooden puppet that someone had lit on fire and then ripped apart. His entire body pulsed with exhaustion.
“Hmmmm…” Garou considered his apology.
“Fine. Shrimp, give him a bowl.” Garou said as he picked up Snipe by the hand, and started dragging him over to the group of heroes.
“Okay!” Ghin happily filled another bowl for the living corpse Garou was dragging over.
Garou threw the corpse of Snipe next to the group as Ghin placed a bowl filled with steaming rice, meat, and vegetables ladened with an aromatic sauce that elicits the hunger of man.
Snipe used his near-dead arms to reach out towards the bowl of fuel. His hands trembled as they neared the bowl. Slowly, he pulled the bowl closer as his hunger nearly overwhelmed him. Once the aroma of the food before him reached his nose, his arm quickly reached out for his utensils. Placing his hat beside him on the ground, Snipe lifted his mask and stared down at the food.
Despite his exhausted, drained state, Snipe began to practically tear into the bowl of food. Slowly, he could feel the slightest hints of his energy returning to him. He barely even took a moment to breathe amidst eating.
“How come he can eat and we can’t? We’ve been working for ages!”
The despairing voice of Mt Lady came from the inside of the half-built dojo. Seeing Snipe devour his own food had made her even more desperate. If felt like they’d been working forever.
“Because I said so!” Ghin shouted back as he ordered them to continue working.
“....may I ask why they are working again while we aren't?” Ryukyu asked Ghin and Garou curiously.
“To weed out slackers and give them hell. I do not tolerate slackers.” Garou replied as he took a bowl for himself, starting to fill it with rice and beef in average amounts.
“So you tricked us?”
Eraserhead had stopped what he was doing and turned to Garou, one eyebrow raised. Leaning up against a nearby beam, he could feel his arms ache.
“Wouldn't you do the same to your students as well?” Garou asked back.
“The carrot and the stick, I know. But you are supposed to give the carrot at some point.”
Even Aizawa’s hunger was beginning to overpower him. The constant rumbling and aching from his stomach only increased.
“Ten more minutes of work and you will get your carrot.” Garou replied as he grabbed a chopstick and started to dig in in front of the four to their visual dismay.
Mt Lady stared at Garou as he ate, clearly pouting. Vlad King, Midnight and Eraserhead merely sighed in resignation as they got back to the construction at hand.
Ten more minutes…
“Good. You did well. Despite not seeing the blueprints, you made it exactly how I wanted it to be.” Garou praised with a hint of sarcasm as he viewed the current progress. The walls were almost finished, the northern side still unfinished as well as the roof. After that, Garou might need to start planning on how to install the plumbing here, the roof, and then the furniture later on. Along with a power source added, one independent of the city’s power. He wondered if he could convince Ghin to aid that using solar panels and his Quirk… or add human powered batteries, a wheeless bike to be powered by his students while torturing their stamina. He considered both options as he smiled. He will never have to pay for the electric bill ever.
Aizawa, Vlad King, Midnight and Mt Lady all sat around the fireplace, all exhausted. Mt Lady looked like she was about to collapse. Having already finished their meals, Gang Orca, Ryukyu and Endeavour all watched the four other Heroes await their food. Nearby, on the ground, was the prone form of Snipe, still groaning from the exertion.
“Hmph! You should've worked harder! Until you ended up like him!” Ghin pouted as pointed at the prone form of Snipe before he started filling in their bowls with rice, sauce, and other foodstuff.
“Pick whatever you want from the hotpot.” Ghin said as he set down the utensils in each of their respective bowls.
Quickly, all four bowls were scooped up by the ravenous Heroes. Then, they began to fill their bowls even further with meat, cabbages, and cooked mushrooms from the hotpot. The only noise was the sound of the four Heroes eating their food like it was their last meal.
“Aniki. I have a question.” Ghin asked as he raised his hand.
“What is it?”
“Will they always come here on the weekends? I mean… there's no point in training if they can't come every day. It won't work like that.” Ghin asked making his point.
“Hmmm… true.” Garou nodded accepting his logic.
Ryukyu lowered her head, almost in an apology to the silver-haired duo.
“I apologise for us being unable to make it every day. But we must ensure the safety of the populace. We do unfortunately have other arrangements.”
“Throw them away if you want to become strong enough to take down monsters. Or reach my level.” Garou said as he filled his bowl again after emptying the contents into his stomach.
Crossing his arms, Endeavour’s face was unreadable as usual.
“The reason we need to defeat these monster is to defend the public. If we aren’t there, we can’t defend them.”
“True, but you'll need to come every day at least. Otherwise, there will be no progress.” Garou argued as he filled in his bowl again.
“Perhaps we could come each night? After the day has ended?”
Ryukyu made her suggestion. Hearing the dragoness’ suggestion, a few of the other Heroes grimaced.
“That could work. You can drop dead in your beds faster that way.” Garou joked.
Ryukyu chuckled at Garou’s joke, but she seemed to be the only one. Mt Lady was already dreading the lack of sleep. The only reason anyone thought that Snipe had been listening was a groan, almost in response to Ryukyu’s suggestion.
“Maybe you should bring your classes here in the afternoon to multitask.” Garou joked to the teachers.
Raising his head from his bowl, Aizawa grimaced. The last thing he and the other teachers wanted was for their students to watch them be beaten into the ground.
“And you can probably have them join in on the fun as well.” Garou added.
“Wouldn’t it get a bit hectic then? I thought you enjoyed your privacy.”
Aizawa pointed one of his utensils at Garou, emphasizing his point. Bringing their classes could get… disruptive.
“And besides, I’m sure our classes have quite a few traumatic memories of you two.”
Gesturing between Ghin and Garou, Eraserhead glanced at the both of them. Vlad King silently nodded alongside him. Both their classes had no real desire to face Garou or his disciple any time soon.
“Heh. I know. Just a little joke. There's no way those wimps would get anywhere near my dojo anyways.” Garou laughed as he filled his bowl with foodstuffs.
Hearing both their respective classes being dismissed as ‘wimps’ irked both Vlad King and Eraserhead. The slightest hints of a frown crept onto both of their faces. Pointing his utensil at Ghin, Aizawa looked at Garou.
“...I mean, Midoriya did land a good hit in.”
“Doesn't count. I will not acknowledge your class as otherwise unless they can give him a good fight. When the shrimp is going all out.” Garou dismissed.
As Aizawa sighed heavily, he began rubbing his eyes. For him to constantly bring his class into such close proximity of Garou… He could imagine that the parents might have a few complaints.
“...I’ll ask them. If they agree, then I’ll bring them along.”
“Same here. I do not want to forcefully drag my class here. If they are unwilling, there would be nothing for them to learn.”
Vlad King added from beside Eraserhead.
“Eh?” Garou blinked.
“You're actually going to bring the wimps?” He uttered as if genuinely surprised.
“They're not allowed here!” Ghin shouted as he pouted.
“...Each time you call my class ‘wimps,’ I feel like my reputation as a teacher is being attacked.”
Aizawa attempted to hide the frustration at the demeaning way Garou was speaking about his class. Vlad King was in a similar state.
“Since when do you have a reputation?” Garou asked as if he was obvious.
Grimacing, Aizawa glared at Garou. However, he said nothing.
“Fine. Tell you what, let's make a bet here. If your class could bring my first disciple to go all out, in a genuine intense fight… I'll take back everything I said about them being ‘wimps’.” Garou offered with a mocking smirk.
Eraserhead frowned even further, displeasure clear on his face. As he locked eyes with Garou, he lowered the bowl in one of his hands.
“I’ll be holding you to that.”
“If just one student is capable of bringing the best out of my disciple… well, not sure what you want, but I doubt anyone can do that.” Garou stretched the line even further.
The following day…
Within in the UA school building, the usual cheery, friendly atmosphere of Class 1-A filled their classroom. The respective groups of students all gathered, chatting amongst themselves. Kirishima was chatting to a usually grumpy Bakugou. Kaminari and Mineta were leering at the back of the class at something on their phone. Iida, Todoroki, Uraraka and Izuku were all sat together, discussing their most recent lesson.
Izuku was still a little taken back the by level of attention he’d received after stopping the monster in the bank. The rest of the class still asked him about it. Especially after seeing Fenrir on the news with him. He’d been bombarded with so many questions, he could barely answer them all.
As Class 1-A all sat there, chatting amongst themselves, their classroom door opened abruptly. Hearing the opening of the door, several pairs of eyes turned to see their homeroom teacher, Eraserhead, although… this time, he was covered in far more bandages than usual. While also sporting some bruises on his face.
“Yo, Aizawa-sensei. What happened to your face?”
Kirishima shouted out from besides Bakugou, clearly surprised by the battered state of his teacher. His reaction mirrored that of everyone else.
Standing before the podium, their teacher seemed to groan slightly as he stood there. Casting his eyes across the class, 1-A got the distinct impression that something had happened. Potentially something serious.
“I… have been taking part in some ‘training’.”
Aizawa’s response confused the class slightly. Cocking his head, Kaminari broke the momentary silence.
“Why? You’re a Pro Hero.”
Sighing, Aizawa could still feel his body throb and ache from the punishment he had undergone. He was glad, however, that he hadn’t suffered to Snipe’s extent. The gunslinger had actually abstained from work today, he was exhausted and beaten.
“This was a special, voluntary form of training. I, along with several other Pros, all volunteered. The list of names includes, Gang Orca, Midnight, Vlad King, Ryukyu, myself, Snipe, Mt Lady and even Endeavour.”
The class was dumbstruck at the list of prominent Heroes undergoing this training. Hearing the name of his father, Shouto stiffened in his seat slightly, staring at Eraserhead with increased interest. Ashido raised one hand, still seeming quite confused.
“Why haven’t we heard about this training? All those Heroes in one place would be all over the news!”
A few of the class nodded in agreement. The names on that list were some of the most prominent Heroes in the whole country.
“Our trainer is Garou.”
“““......”””
The entire class stared at their teacher like he’d gone mad. Similar to Shouto, Bakugou had stiffened in his seat at the mention of Garou. The rest of the class merely gaped at Aizawa, dumbfounded by this sudden reveal.
“..Eh?”
Ashido’s arm shrunk back down, a look of absolute shock and confusion on her face. Now that he had revealed it, the increase of bandages and physical injuries made sense. Especially when it came to Him.
“You’re… all being trained… by Him?”
Mineta added from besides an equally shocked Kaminari. Memories of Garou’s ‘test’ flashed through his mind. And the confrontation at the exam. A shiver passed through him.
“Yes, we are. It’s… tiring, to say the least.”
They felt like their teacher was understating how painful training with Garou could be. As they all remembered their own lumps and bruises from encounters with the silver-haired duo, Shouto stared at Aizawa, clearly surprised. As he opened his mouth, he asked the one question the whole class had.
“...Why?”
Sighing heavily, Aizawa once again cast his eyes across his entire class. He hoped they were ready for the trial that would await them, if they accepted the challenge. They’d already lost once.
“With the increasing number and threat of monsters, I, along with several other Pros, knew we must react in turn with collective growth. And there was only one person who could allow us to fight on the level of those monsters. Garou. So, in order to fight this new threat, we have willingly placed ourselves underneath him, as his ‘disciples.’”
Silence struck the class once again. After hearing about the Third Years receiving training, it made sense for students to be taught the ways of Garou. But full on Pro Heroes? No one knew what to say. Even Izuku was silent as he considered what this could mean for the future of Heroes.
However, their teacher was not done yet. As he looked at his class, he grimaced.
“The other day, Garou extended an invitation to his new dojo. To all of you. He requested for you all to fight Ghin again. And to give him a ‘proper fight’ this time.”
A frigid atmosphere settled over the students as they all parsed what their teacher had said. They’d… need to fight Ghin again? They’d already lost once against him. Quite badly as well. The only two people who were not quite as stunned were Bakugou and Izuku. A firm look had now appeared on both their faces.
Aizawa continued speaking, attempting to lighten the atmosphere.
“However, you are all allowed to refuse this second challenge. That is why I am asking you. It is up to all of you. But refusing would only show your fear and weakness to Garou.”
Slowly, the shock the students had been feeling was replaced with a mix of other emotions. Most of them did actually want to fight the young disciple of Garou’s once again. But the painful memories flashing through their minds instilled a sense of fear and hopelessness in them. Even with Bakugou and Izuku working together, at the peak of their respective powers, they had landed only a handful of good hits. And they had failed to actually take him down.
“If you accept, I will take you all to Garou’s dojo. There, you will watch the Pro Heroes undergo training from Garou. Then you will be facing Ghin. Any questions?”
The voice of Eraserhead broke their thoughts, pulling the class’ attention towards him.
“...How much stronger has Ghin become since our last ‘encounter’?”
Iida raised one hand quickly into the air, clearly conflicted about the idea of facing Ghin. His body unconsciously ached from the beating he had taken last time.
“...I have no idea, but Garou’s becoming more and more ridiculously unfair with each passing day…”
Nodding in acceptance, Iida lowered his arm. The rest of the class was still thinking about whether they should face Ghin or not.
“That man actually leveled up his martial arts in the realm of the actual supernatural.”
Kirishima cocked his head to one side, confused with his teacher’s words. From Garou’s displays of power, it seemed like he had reached the peak of human capability. Beyond anyone else.
“How could he get any stronger?”
”He surprised me when he showed me his needless progression. He is actually growing stronger with each passing day.”
The confused, momentary fearful atmosphere of the class had dissipated. Every single student in the class had not been sitting around doing nothing. They had been doing their own training. They were stronger than last time. As 1-A thought, fierce determination began to burn in each of their hearts. The desire to pay back Garou’s young apprentice was intense. Aizawa could see the focus and determination in each of their eyes, as they all stared at him.
