❤️ A Small Personal Update ❤️ (My Neighbours) (Making Friends as an Adult)

They have a nice family with two kids. The lady of the very nice couple said "we haven't seen you around much."
To which I simply replied: "I'm gonna be honest with you, *insert name*, I'm just incredibly antisocial."
She threw her head back and laughed. And thus began an authentic exchange.
We talked, traded phone numbers and agreed to meet up for coffee.
I have officially begun a new friendship as an adult.
Which might sound like not a big deal, but as someone who struggles to communicate and reach out - it felt like a good first step.
I hope we can all make new friends as adults. It's probably the time we need them the most.
