Hello everybody! First off I'd like to quickly thank everybody so much for the support over the last few months as I get the map ready for public release, the map has come such a long way since the playtest started and it's all thanks to you all keeping the project afloat! It's been a while since I've made a post on here as I've been keeping everyone up to date over on my discord server, however I'd like to just make a post going over all the major changes that have been made since the playtest started and talk briefly about what is going to happen moving forward as I get the project ready for public release!
Since the playtest went live the map has changed drastically with revamped visuals as well as an all new bo3 styled HUD, inspired by shadows of evil and designed by the community! I couldn't be happier with how it has turned out, The map now has every single feature from the original map including the smaller details such as the samantha's lullaby ending, al's drawings, different round change for afterlife, character conversations ect. The map is fully functional! I have also designed some all new questlines that will become available to hunt for once the map is public! (can you guess what they are?) Recently all the FX on the map have been completely revamped by my guy @Rayjiun, he's done a great job remastering the original bo2 fx and bringing them up to scratch with bo3 standards! I'd also like quickly shoutout @Hybs and @tupivere_ for their ongoing commitment to helping out with this map and the discord server, they've done so much for this project and it wouldn't be where it's at without them! You guys have been a great help with finding bugs and I can happily say that now the vast majority of issues players were having are snubbed out with the map now playing very well, with only minor issues that need to be addressed before full release! I honestly cannot thank you all enough, you have sped up development of this map x100!
Moving forward the map is now entering the final stretch before full release, I have a trailer being finished up now that will announce the release date which I will be dropping when I am confident on a date I can hit, once I am ready I'll give everyone a warning in advance that the map is being pushed for full release and the option to opt into the playtest will become unavailable a few weeks before launch to stop people from opting in and it going live immediately after (I can see how that'd be annoying lol).
When I created the Playtest tier I added as a perk that everyone who pledged would get their name displayed on the workshop page once the map went public, I did not however expect so many people to opt in when I set that perk (2500+ names!!!), I'm not exactly sure how I'm going to go about doing this however I will try my best to give everyone the proper credit on the workshop page, my current idea is to create a graphic (or series of images lol) to put in the previews displaying everyone's names (similar to the johnnyj die rise billboard), if you have a better idea on how to go about doing this however please let me know! also if you'd like to opt out of having your name on the workshop page please let me know too, I know many of you are just here for the map access which is completely understandable!
