MOB OF THE DEAD - TIMELAPSE 19/04/24

This week for mob I've been working on detailing a few areas of the map, as well as incorporating scripted details from the original map! Here is a timelapse of me working on detailing the Courtyard area outside the map.

This week I've mainly been working on including details from the original map that I wanted to make sure I don't miss out on such as the plane checklist in spawn that ticks off every time you add a part to the plane, this is now working properly! Voice lines for the characters when specific events happen in game such as the first time the player purchases a wallbuy, the characters have voicelines expressing their confusion (I'm pretty sure mob is the only map that does stuff like this so I wanted to make sure I get it right) They also have voicelines for the first time you discover the mysterybox, each time you go to the bridge (remembering parts of the cycle) and each time you return to the prison as well. All these things are now implemented and working!

Next up I need to implement the conversations between characters that are present in 4 player, again I'm pretty sure mob is the only map that does this but if you play in 4 player on the original map all the characters will talk to each other about things like the escape plan, where the parts are stashed, Stanley Ferguson and more which I think is really cool so that's next up to get implemented. Voicelines are one of the most tedious and time consuming things to implement in Custom maps as there's hundreds of voicelines per character and for specific lines like these you need to script them all individually, I've now got all the main ones in now though!
