My Finals Project Kitty and Dug
Added 2023-12-15 06:20:28 +0000 UTCThis is my finals project for my animation subject. For something that's made within a few weeks, I'm quite proud of it. Attached are .fla files (yes, I was forced to use Adobe Animate for this, but I didn't pay for it lol)
Kitty and Dug takes place in a post-nuclear warfare setting where an old dog and a kitten live together and wait for the return of their human family. You can interpret the final scene as Dug hiding the truth from Kitty or neither of them being aware of what really happened to the humans. Pick your poison. Chernobyl animals are used as my point of reference for this. With years and years of no human interference, dogs and other wildlife has lived and flourished in Chernobyl, and they can be quite friendly. Unfortunately you can't pet them, unless you want radiation poisoning.
I originally wanted to make close-up shots of the house, with details on how dilapidated it is but also showing signs of no life: An old worn out family photo that flows in the wind, shattered glass, an old stuffed toy. Either something bad has happened to this family or they evacuated on a rush. But whatever happened to them, they left their pets and they didn't realize they were abandoned.
Now that all of my finals are completed for this term, I can go make your patron rewards in the next week or so, depending on how busy I am. I do have family matters in the holidays- everyone does. But they are still holidays so I'd be still spending a good amount of time drawing and working. Thank you all for your shown support and encouragement.
