Those panels at the end of Fantasia where Slan, Conrad, Ubik and Void. In Ubik’s panel, you can see him in the human creature. This panel is also a direct homage to Hieronymus Bosch “ The Garden of Earthly Delights” which is a triptych that depicts heaven and hell. Many of the creatures in Berserk have been inspired from Bosch’s paintings. If you look at them, you will see why. It’s like the eclipse all over again! Really! As a child, we used to have an art book on Bosch and I would study it all the time! I absolutely am drawn to it! Good insight on what Griffiths motives may be for the residents of Falconia! You are right! The rest of the world is pretty much over run with dragons and large monsters that don’t play nice with humans!
