CallMePo - Battle Damaged Diane
Added 2020-06-22 22:09:04 +0000 UTC This is one of the newest coloring commissions that I received from Desscribe. It was right after @callmepo did his “Quick-n-dirty sketch” session. Where he basically did quick drawings of whatever commission came in. This is one that Desscribe chose.
When he sent it to me, he told me that it was of a character from the anime “Seven Deadly Sins”. I had only heard about the series on Netflix but I didn’t know much about it. But after seeing this character, I needed to do a little research about her in order to color her. And I was quite intrigued by what I read and coloring her was quite easy. Well, up to her….glove…I guess you could call it. The way it’s colored in the series is that it has the appearance of a bandage with the way there is that zig-zagging of the shading lines.
Harder part was coloring the torn up edges of the clothes. And that gets me to think about all those times I’ve seen clothes rip WAY too easily in anime. It was then that my heart goes out to the colorists who have to color those tiny little pieces of cloth.
