What bitter sweet chapters! Yes, this armor is dangerous! Clues are given to who previously owned it if you haven’t figured it out. It consumes its user by letting them bleed out. It’s an upgrade for sure, but is it enough for a god? The bitterness coming from this armor and the destruction of Flora’s home, the sweetness comes from Guts recognizing he is Casca’s protector. She is the one spark that grounds him. I’d like to think that’s the way it’s always been, Flora’s farewell to Scheirke is loving and heartbreaking. She is giving her precious child to a new family knowing what is in store for them. The way Guts scoops her up under his arm and runs off with her while she cries...... I just can’t help but cry myself.
