Happy Thanksgiving!

We hope you find yourself spending today doing exactly what you’d like to do, not what needs to be done! At the moment we're in a hotel room watching the Macy’s Day Parade on TV. Let’s take a moment to backtrack and get you up to speed on our plans. 

We hauled the boat out in Grenada to get some boat work done just over a week ago. We spent the first 3 days checking on her to see the progress of the boat work. Island time was in full effect! That's ok though, we've learned to expect that things will take longer than you anticipate in the islands. 

We took a moment and assessed the situation, looked at our timeline and all the things on our "to-do" list. It didn’t take much to decide to fly home for the holidays rather then sit in a hotel room in Grenada for a couple weeks.. We packed up our stuff and booked tickets home to the states. Tickets are fairly cheap at just under $200 per person for the flight from Grenada to Florida. We're here now and couldn’t be happier with our decision. Our friends have sent us pictures of Calypso and her progress which doesn’t look like much at the moment. This only validates that we’ve made the right choice to spend the holidays with family. My (Brittany) grandfather is very sick with cancer and it may be my last Thanksgiving that we get to spend with him, Jeremiah has already lost all of his Grandparents and he always pushes me to spend as much time with mine as I can. 

While home we're also taking the time to do a few other things such as:

-Dermotology appointments are made for yearly skin checks (important when you're always in the sun).

-Jeremiah needed to get a new eyeglasses prescription (his reading vision is going...He's not happy about this aging thing lol).

-New CPAP gear is needed including the CPAP machine itself, our insurance switched us to a new company that doesn't allow any communication from outside of the states. Perfect! 

-Normal physicals with blood tests and all that have been completed. Everything looks perfect! 

-Dentist visits for cleanings.

And so on...

We're keeping in touch with the boatyard and our friends to get updates on the boat work. Once it is close to being completed, we will fly back, splash her and go sailing! This time we will shove off without a long list of items that need to be completed!...Or so we think ;)

We truly appreciate you being here with us! From our family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving! We love the relationships that have formed and the fact that our little adventure can bring others so much joy and excitement! We're so excited for what's to come!
