Let's go diving!!
Added 2018-06-20 16:24:47 +0000 UTCSince we're moving forward with our new boat, Calypso, we’ve decided it’s time to get certified in scuba diving. We start our classes next week! The classes include some classroom time, pool time and two ocean dives including a dive off of Catalina Island, which you might have seen on a couple of our videos!
Jeremiah and I have always talked about getting our dive certs but we'd find ourselves getting discourage since we didn't have enough room on the Lazy Gecko to hold the gear needed. So we pushed it off...Not to mention that I have a huge fear of what lies below the surface of the ocean. Hurricane Season is upon us so we thought it'd be best to get certified now, I hope that it helps me with my fear of what lies in the deep sea as well. I’ve always told myself I'll try anything once even if I have a fear of it. I was scared about selling all of our things, buying a sailboat and moving aboard but I tried it for Jeremiah and fell completely in love with it so who knows, maybe I’ll become obsessed with this too! Plus it can’t hurt to get some more awesome footage for you of what lies below the oceans surface!!
Plus Calypso has a compressor onboard that refills dive tanks! So we'll have all the gear needed to do some serious offshore diving.
The best part about this whole thing is that Jeremiah is thinking about pushing forward with becoming a instructor himself. He'd have the ability to certify people that come aboard Calypso. Which would obviously enable us to give an experience of a lifetime to friends and family!
