Update along our path!
Added 2016-09-21 21:34:42 +0000 UTCSo....We got a phone call the other day from the dealership. The truck needs a new transfer case, which we assumed had been the issue. It's expensive (about $2400) but there isn't much we can do about it. So we told them to go ahead with the repair. 2 weeks! 14 days! Is the timeframe they gave us. Ugh. So we continued our trip to San Diego in a rental car that the dealership provided and we spent time with the kids. It was wonderful to be with them :). We're in Las Vegas now for our brothers baby shower. Rhys is going to have a new boy cousin! We got a call from the dealer this morning, the part is being manufactured still. So we really don't know how long it will be. So we're just planning by ear for now, waiting for word about poor Truckie! Once we do, we will start our journey back east. Until then we plan to sightsee and just take it slow, trying to save as much money as possible along the way. We're SO looking forward to getting back to the boat! We miss our floating home.
