My mum used to sell Avon products here in Australia back in the 80s. Don't think its really a thing here anymore though. I think in America, the equivalent would have been Mary Kay, the ladies with the big pink cars. Mandy might know of that.

Firstly Mandy, no worries if you can't do content as you normally would like. You look after you first, then us. We will be here for you always and we will just wait until you're ready. OK it was sheer hell the week you were away on holiday but we found ways to survive. We managed our withdrawal symptoms and some had group therapy meetings etc. Haha. Of course you're missed but don't ever feel pressured. No need to at all. So, Taskmaster... yes the title was spoken by the 'security guard' before deciding on whether to look in Daisy or Richards bag. And I'm just gonna say it... so far this season the first 'bring something in' task has the contestants bringing in some of the most rubbish stuff ever. Daisy is always food :) Crumpets, slices of ham. I think she just grabs what's in her fridge. :) So little effort from them. :) They are fun to watch perform the tasks though. Good stuff as always M. Hope you'll be back to 20-20 soon.

I had stopped watching wrestling a while before that, so I had no attachment to the man. But I remember the incident. Truly, truly awful. But we don't know how much he was a victim of his own brain damage. It's hard to accept sometimes when we are shocked and angered by a person's dreadful actions, but people can't always help the way they are or the things they do. 😔

Johnny says "When my mum wasn't well, I used to sell and collect her Avon in a bag like this". He's referring to Avon cosmetics. Avon is a company that used to employ women who essentially worked from home and/or door-to-door, selling Avon products to their neighborhood. It was popular because it was flexible enough that women with housework and children to take care of, or even full-time jobs, could do it around their busy schedules. These women were called "Avon ladies". I assume they worked on commission. It might still be a thing, but certainly not as common if so. I haven't seen one in a long while. Internet commerce and all that being a thing now. Tupperware had a similar setup which you might be more familiar with.
