I recommend the following order: Season 1 (you've just completed that) Season 1 outtakes Season 2 (another 6 episodes) Season 2 outtakes Christmas special There are also more special features like "Finding Leo" about the production of the show, which are worth a look. A humorous peek behind the curtain. ๐

2023-06-23 14:06:57 +0000 UTCLoved this episode. Patrick is an incredible actor and his 'all her clothes fall off' screenplay great, haha! An actor of his calibre so willing to do that. You made a very insightful comment there too, one I had not even thought about. This is called Extras, but the extras (Andy and Maggie) are the stars here and the big stars in this, are the extras. You're so right! I'm glad you went in blind on this one. If you don't know a guest star, there's nothing to stop you pausing and Googling them I guess. Ricky is great at having poignant or serious moments in his comedies. His series of 'After Life' is a complete mix of both all the time. Derek is another that combines comedy with those moments. He's just really good at it. Oh and when Steve and Ricky were pitching the script to the BBC people in this episode, when Ricky was insistent that he was in it as the star and that he wouldn't let people change his idea.... this is a reflection of how they pitched The Office to the BBC. Ricky and Steve who co-wrote The Office, went to the BBC as unknowns but Ricky stuck to his guns on what he wanted and was prepared to even walk away if he didn't get to film it how he wanted it. He got what he wanted and the rest is history. Mandy, thanks for spicing up my start to the day. Been in pain for 2 days now (it'll go away soon I'm hoping) so this has eased it for a while. The out-takes are great as people have said :) Hope you keep your hair curly always (if you know what I mean).

2023-06-23 13:50:22 +0000 UTCIt has been an awesome series, I think the whole concept started because of the huge success of The Office and Ricky all of a sudden having loads of A-list fans, most of which were asking to be in one of his shows, so Extras was born, the Xmas Special is the finale to the whole thing, after series 2, sorry season!!!
