Only you remember how it used to be, while the world around you rewrites itself seamlessly. Each stage of shrinking escalates the disconnect: the environment reshapes, people treat you differently according to your new stature, and yet none of them find it strange. That quiet normality—the everyday casualness of their actions—only makes the separation sharper, because your perception and theirs are drifting further apart. The result is this unsettling, surreal gap where you and the world live side by side, but never in quite the same reality.
