0.5 Development Update 31

Hey, folks!

So first things first.

It’s #happening!

The Scene for Cait is already being animated, and the game build should be ready in about 10 or so days.

The poll for her, ahem, special outfit is too close to call right now. Adding four outfits of one type and only one of the other was a mistake, folks called me out on that, and I agree. Once the current poll is over, the two most popular options (1 and 4 right now) are going face to face. The runoff poll will be up for just a few days, and you’ll see the winning item in the game.

But enough about Cait for now. Time to meet some new faces!

You’re going to make acquaintances with Cait’s friends’ squad during your travels to her University. You’ve already seen Eurie in the older teasers, and now you’ve seen them all. Of course, there will be more characters in the University, and you’ll have to actually play the game to meet them all.

The work on the University itself also continues. There are a lot of interiors still under development, but we’re making good progress. The only interiors necessary for the next update are the student dorm (pictured above), a couple of passageways, pictured below, and a lecture hall, still in the planning stages.

Once everything is textured, all the furniture is added, and the characters are walking the halls, it should look splendid.

And that’s pretty much all I have for you today.

Oh, a few words about the android version. The results of the last Dev Update poll were quite surprising. But I still don’t want to just abandon the hi-res Android version. After thinking about it some more, I’ve decided to try the base APK + asset packs option. It’s not going to happen soon, I need to take care of the more pressing update stuff first, but as soon as there are some news, I’ll be sure to let you all know.
