It's really not that bad. I did it as a seperate VLAN (one for home / one for guest / one for iot / one for cameras / one for work). IOT - don't wanna let them see my internal network. If I want to get to it - I put in the firewall rule - like my printer. That damn thing scans the network all the time so it's in timeout. Work - only my laptops and VMs for work can see each other and the internet
