New Episode Later This Weekend!

Hey all,

First, I hope all of you are doing well.  I know it's been a rough week for video games and the world at large, and I just want remind everyone to take care of themselves and step away for a bit if they need to.

Which brings us to the business at hand - I really wanted to get the next ES episode out before the end of the month to all you wonderful people, but between some personal tragedies and also needing some time to process everything that's been going down as of late, I don't think that's gonna happen.  But that doesn't mean it's going to be really late, just slightly delayed!  The episode's already a third edited together and all the audio is in place, I just need to finish laying video on top of it.  The good news is it's a three day weekend here in the states, and I intend to dedicate pretty much all my free time to getting this ready to ship. It should be available for you in the next two or so days (barring catastrophic hardware failure), and will probably be public on Thursday or Friday.  I apologize for missing the end-of-month deadline, but this really has just been a weird two weeks for me.  Besides, I'd like to think most of you would rather I spend this weekend making something as good as it can be than shipping something by midnight tonight just to shove it out the door.

Finally, just to keep you abreast of the current haps and timelines for the show.  After Outer Wilds Part 2 runs I'm gonna put together another Blips video - as usual I've got a ton of fun surprise titles I've encountered over the past few weeks, and I'm looking forward to sharing them.  My goal is to have that hit sometime in mid-September.  

Then going into the Halloween season I've got a *lot* of great horror games to choose from.  I may even do a patron poll to see which ones I cover? Let me know if that sounds like a good idea! But before that - either in late September or very early October, I've got a tangentially related Halloween-ish video idea about dead games/video game ghost towns featuring DUSTNET and PAGAN: Autogeny.  Nothing concrete, but I think it's a cool way to lead into spooky times, maybe?  Post Halloween is starting to get hazy - I still want to cover some of the recent boon of great indie stuff like Anodyne 2, but we'll also be heading into Prestige AAA Game Season then and who knows what to cover that far out.
