This is just the initial base coat though, now it's time to post-shade it 😊 Or spray the black camouflage and then post-shade?

I'm very happy with the Olive Drab tone on this model. I think it looks better than what I've concocted on the Easy 8 from last year. It's a mixture of Tamiya Olive Drab, Flat Earth, Buff and clear gloss. First it's important to correct the Tamiya OD with Flat Earth because it's too green. I'd say it was about 70% OD and 30% Flat Earth. Then I made it slightly lighter by adding about 20% Buff into the mixture. And of course, a lot of gloss so the paint will spray smoother but also it won't turn too dark after varnishing.

I already prepared a second bottle of a lighter color by adding even more buff. I'm also keeping the un-lightened OD mixture for shadows and outlining.

Maybe I'll just post-shade the whole thing and then spray the black camo, because I'm kinda in the mood for post-shading 😁
