Netflix BANS Corsets?

Hat tip to Michael, who sent me a link to the Metro article about this.

I hope you enjoy this extremely random video.

Netflix BANS Corsets?

Your passion is why I love you (that and your hair - Awesome braids!) and you are totally spot on!

honestly it sounds like this is playing on the popular conception of corsets and not the reality. But considering that there have been actresses complain about breathing problems and how tight they are, it seems like the producers on shows and movies seem to use that excuse to put their actresses through hell in the name of "authenticity". I know that this is fake news from the sun but still, it seems like treating their actresses like human beings is a big problem for shows and movies

"Wearing too tight and badly fitted thing is uncomfortable" - Clearly the problem is THING and not the "too tight" and "badly fitted" part.

Also, even if the story isn't true, it's given CosTube something to talk about this weekend! There's an Abby / Bernadette / Karolina / Nicole livestream on the subject tomorrow: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQ7yWzfGZNY

Good to see there's already a denial, and Jezebel is on board with it: https://jezebel.com/netflix-bbc-deny-that-theyre-banning-corsets-but-they-1850151560 (Link shared by Jill on youTube, but copy-pasted here for the benefit of anyone watching the video through Patreon.)

"Get ones that fit" was my first thought when you introduced the video. Good grief!

Stupid... but then its in the Sun... so probably made up rubbish.

Dalek Supreme

This happens with armor for men and women all of the time. The solution is to get proper fittings, not ban armor in movies.

What If Brigade

Apparently they’ve never heard of padding.

Well all thier period dramas will look even worse now.

What...the absolute...hell?!? It's funny that some of these shows and movies have researchers to make sure it's right, but the directors and writers are going for a certain silhouette and that means tight as possible. Like they did to Evans and Helmsworth in Avengers, too tight a t-shirts to show their muscles to the point of discomfort.
